3DS has sold to everyone and their dog in Japan(16m install base). Still impressive considering considering their are only like 3 Ninty games that have launched with 1m+ in Japan. Smash is such a huge franchise.
Great, NBA2k14's character creation was almost nonexistent. Maybe they'll add some different voices into this one too. It's weird having a pseudo black/hip voice overlapped on every single myplayer.
That can be attributed to Activision/Sony for their marketing and Bungie for making an average game.
I mean, when you look at commercials and gaming media saying this game , by the creators of the Halo franchise, will be the reason you put down 399$+ on a new-gen console; you expect something legendary.
Another victim of fabricated hype. The game would be great if people's expectations were left in check. It's human nature to feel dooped/betrayed when your promised so much but given so little.

Xb1 was roughly 150k ( so for that last week MS probably pulled 70k-80k)
PS4 was 190k
Wii U was like 65k iirc
3DS was 95k

I'm more interested in how well Uncharted 4 will fare against Halo 5 sales wise. Can Uncharted break past TLOU's current 8m and move on to Halo's pretty consistent 9m? And what about Smash? Which of the big three's biggest exclusives will reach the glorified 10m first/ at all?

It's starting to seem like MS is just passing the time until the holiday season starts. You can almost sense an air of desperation in their PR guys' quotes. We will most likely hear something more concrete when 1) They win a npd month 2) They have a respectable hardware/software numbers to present
PR guys like Aron and Yusef should'nt be saying anything until they have something worth saying.

And article says the criteria for a greatest hits game is 500k copies and 10months on the market. Not like a KH game needs to worry since they were already multimillion sellers on PS2 and DS.
Yeah perfect timing. I'm so excited. I held off on 1.5 so I can get it a couple weeks before 2.5. I'm gonna binge on KH games. Come November and December.
It should be noted that this retailer does not count bundled games. Most bundles in Japan are giving away 2+ games. So we should see some green on Media Create this Wednesday. Still, these sales will be a train wreck nonetheless.
I don't know about Batman but Bloodborne will definitely push systems in Japan. It's also getting some Western hype because of its new faster paced combat. Souls fans should feel comfortable moving from their last generation hardware to a Bloodborne+PS4 bundle.
But like you said, the bundling has to be a no brainer. I expect more than just the console, the game, and some ps+ for 499$
