I can't see less than 15m to be honest but 20m is unimaginable.
PS4 should sell 1m a month from September till November then hit a high point of at least 3m by December. And that's not even counting how many units they sell with the two weeks left in August.
My low water mark predictions:
As of August 12 Sony has sold 10m ps4
By the end of August they should be around 10.5(probably overestimated)
Early September Destiny(white p...
Exactly what I was thinking. But I haven't played Tearaway and don't plan on getting a Vita anytime soon so it works out for me.
@Legion
I hope your right. I was really looking forward to something new.
Square Enix publishing, Crystal Dynamics developing, Tomb Raider game, Xbox exclusive? Shell-shocked. And I guess Remedy has done it again. Good conference from MS. Sony the stage is your in T-Minus 10minutes.
You haven't even begun to play GOW young one. There are so many more combos to be strung together to reach those100+ brutal combos and bathe Kratos in the blood of his enemies with style.
On topic:
I bought a ps4 for the GOW's, Uncharted's, Gran Turisismo's, The Last of Us', LBP's. More of Playstation's best franchises is always welcome.
The Wii was also a part of last generation.
If you were expecting the official breakdown, sorry. But I've got the next best thing...A guesstimate from a random N4G Member!
Last year in this quarter Sony shipped 1.1m PS3 units. Now I'm guessing that interest in the ps3 has dropped some since the incredibly successful launch of the PS4. So shipments of the PS3 should be slightly lower from a year ago. That leaves roughly 2.4m PS4 units shipped for Q1. Now we add that to their numbers announced back in April(7m so...
Having options never hurt anyone, Sony. As a playstation gamer I would have liked to at least try the EA Access program before I knock it.
In fact, EA Access would work better for someone with my views. I would play EA games but I would never spend a full 60$ on them. I don't buy BF4, FIFA, or Madden because I don't see the point of paying full price when the next iteration will be out in the next year. And 5/month or 30/year would net me all three as opposed to going...
Expected.
It's even stated on the box.
"Over 200 Game Of The Year Awards"

"TLG...Sony's inside joke"
In the background :'(
And it wasn't even changed in the new picture? ND don't play with my heart strings.
I agree.
VGC may not be exact, but they'll give you decent ballpark figures for hardware.(Their software numbers are worthless)
What I found most interesting:

December can't come soon enough. That bundle looks enticing.
This month's NPD accounts for 5 weeks instead of 4. Console sales across the board will seemingly see a spike. With that said, I don't find it hard to believe that the X1 has doubled it's US sales with the introduction of the 399$ version and an extra week.
They've put out a quality product at a competitive price, I don't see how their bottom line could be anything but better.
I agree.
Personally, not interested.
At least these deals are coming around more frequently. Maybe the next one will have some games I can throw some money at. Hopefully the ps4 will be included as well.
It's not necessarily being a "sheep" when it comes to NFL games. EA bought a monopoly in the football market. If you want simulation football you have no choice but to go to Madden, even if it's just for an updated roster and some overhyped term like "war in the trenches" or "QB vision".
And I'm not so sure about them starting over, we all saw how NBA Live turned out after they decided to start over.
It's happening!!!!
Some people like them and some don't. Personally I never got into them. I'm waiting on Nintendo to announce a true 3d Pokemon game like colosseum or XD gale of darkness for the Wii U.
I enjoyed those games so much when I was a kid.
I think it's time for an intervention.
Aww I thought this was official support. Nice tip nonetheless.
Xbox one caught my eye. The last Tomb Raider I played was on the PS, and MS locking it down as an exclusive was jarring even if my go to Tomb Raider-esque game is Uncharted now. Quantum Break was more interesting than I gave it credit for. It was Timesplitter-esque with amazing grafix.
Sony showed a bunch of smaller titles and stuff we already knew about. DC, Tearaway, Bloodborne, LBP3, Until Dawn. Don't get me wrong The new trailers from Rime,Bloodborn and The Order were...
