The way I see MAG is that it's like Command & Conquer, but you're deploying real players and not just little AI characters. Graphics-wise, it's not mindblowing. But that's not the point. I think this is the next evolutionary step for FPS.
I'll be honest in agreeing that I think Home is boring and pointless. The only area I like in Home is the bowling alley and pool tables. Personally I don't think there are enough lanes and tables.
I'm hoping Uncharted 2 will live up to the hype. I'm a PS3 owner and I thought the first Uncharted was waaaay overrated by the Sony fanbase.
Before your itchy finger hits disagree, hear me out for a minute. When I buy any other type of product, I always have the option of buying used or new. The advantages of buying new items: warranty, customer support, extra resources. If I buy the item used, I get zero benefits.
When it comes to gaming, everyone goes bananas about used versus new games. But when I buy a brand new game, I get zero warranty, zero customer support, zero extra resources. I can't even return the game on...
Maximum 8 players per game for the two consoles. Unless they bump up that number, I'm not buying this game.
For the consoles, this game isn't worth it. Maximum 8 players on consoles per game.
I thought it was going to be China!
I'm surprised Master Chief didn't make it to the list...
Completely disagree. I thought the single campaign was boring and generic. To me, it was the online component that was absolutely epic. It was not laggy at all (US connection here).
Exactly why I don't support Microsoft products. I think they have good, productive items, but I don't like their business practices.
Multiplayer gameplay
The Game supports several modes with more to follow via DLC (Downloadable content)standard from launch comes; Storyline Single play, Storyline Co-op play, Multiplayer Annihilation, Multiplayer Infiltration, Multiplayer Cooperative
The player count for consoles has been confirmed as 8 (4 v 4) and for the PC it is 32 (16 v 16).
Co-op is a mode where players (in addition to computer-controlled characters if required) fight against AI on...
They've only talked about campaign and co-op mode. No mentioning of competitive online. Sniping competitively online gets boring so fast.
I'd rather wait for Zipper's MAG.
Sony's marketing has been horrible in recent years. Looking forward to the assertive change.
I enjoyed the original Command & Conquer games. This is why MAG on the PS3 will dominate. It's just like C&C, but you're deploying real players instead of little AI.
I pre-ordered from Amazon last week. Even though the product page on Amazon says it's shipping Aug 25th, my order status still says Aug 31st. I won't receive it till 2nd week of Sept since I went for free shipping on Amazon. Regardless the order tracking says shipping on Aug 31st.
This game looks so slow. It's 90% sniping.
As much as I anticipate GT5, is it just me or does it feel like Sony is downplaying GT5? Seems like Sony has a lot of room to make GT5 much bigger than what we've seen at GamesCon.
You're not too bright. This is like Command & Conquer, only you're deploying real people into battle (not little clusters of AI). It revolutionizes the entire FPS genre.
It's max 4 vs 4 players. If I was a PC gamer, I'd be interested in this game. But for the console? There are other exciting games coming in the next few months.
