I actually don't like the vast majority of PSN games. I'd rather not spend $15 per game and skip 4 of them in order to purchase a $60 PS3 exclusive. There are about 10 games on the PSN that I actually enjoy. Other than that, I'd rather use the money for Uncharted and Killzone games.
DICE is competent. I can't say the same about EA. Army of Two 40th Day was a mess until the recent patch, which doesn't address all problems.
I hope this engine puts Unreal Engine 3 in the coffin. That engine is so outdated.
After devoting 195 hours of actual gameplay online, I have only encountered glitching twice on the PS3. It's probably a lot more common on the 360 because that console is much easier to hack, but I bought MW2 used for my PS3 and not for my 360. To this day it still has over 400,000 active players online everyday. Even though Activision is the devil in a corporate suit, the game was obviously not a 'fail'.
I am thoroughly enjoying the Bad Company 2 demo, and was very pleased to di...
BC2 is a great game. Loving the demo so far in comparison to the beta.
I want Rainbow Six...
If they keep the weighty controls (which doesn't bother me), they need to have less chokepoints/tight corners. If they keep chokepoints/tight corners, then they need to make the controls less weighty. That was my only issue with Killzone 2, but it wasn't game-breaking. The dynamic multiplayer was quite fun actually.
I have no idea why DICE keeps pushing for Rush mode/maps. Conquest has always been more popular on their battlefield games and that's what I want, CONQUEST MAPS.
Although everyone has suddenly fallen in love with EA simply because Activision became the devil, EA has always done lame things like this. Their multiplayer games have been broken and don't forget that Army of Two 40th day had the same weird preorder restriction as well.
During the beta, I played with all 3 factions. I can definitely say that the SVER maps are unbalanced, in all three game modes. I don't think their weapons or characters are unbalanced, just their maps.
How is the retail final version of this game different than the last beta version?
I ask because I loved the beta the first 20-30 hours, but attacking or defending the same maps over and over got old pretty quickly for me. Please let me know what else was added or changed in the final retail version because I'm on the fence about getting this game.
He practices it everyday. It wasn't luck. He knows exactly where to aim because he does it over and over with his friends.

My slow ass netbook can run flash, so I don't know why Apple is crying so hard about it.
Steve shouldn't diss Adobe like that. Without some of Adobe's products (particularly Photoshop, Lightroom, and other graphical powerhouses), Apple wouldn't be where it is today. They survived when PC/Microsoft took over the world simply because they were touting that the Apple platform is better suited for artists and designers. And that's all because of Adobe's products running on Apple mach...
In my opinion, Destructoid has always been one of the worst gaming sites this generation. I'd go as far to say that it's worse than HHG, which is why I refuse to click on their links.
Could this be the first console FPS with native 1080p?
Let's see how EA handles this game as well as Bad Company 2. The multiplayer on EA's latest shooter, Army of Two 40th day, is completely broken and lag-infested. I own the game and the multiplayer versus is unbearable.
Um, apparently you never downloaded the patch for Ghostbusters on PS3 that fixed the resolution and graphical differences.
I liked Killzone 2. I just wished they hired better voice actors (well except for Visari).
BC1 has a ton of problems. Army of Two 40th day, EA's latest shooter, has a TON of online problems as well. I have no idea why everyone is so excited about another game from EA. It's going to be buggy.
I would like DICE to develop a new engine. The current Frostbite engine is being a little overused and honestly it's a little outdated to my eyes. BC1 and BC2's demo so far are pretty fun though. But visually I do think Frostbite needs to have a major update.
