Amen to that, All of Phil's industry peers have left or moved on in the time he has been at Xbox. He is like a football manager that doesn't know when to go. I'm almost convinced he just wants to keep holding on so he can leave on a high (egotistical). But he is just causing more damage than good.

Nadella essentially wants Microsoft to be everyone's techno god. They just want to be the one stop server farm for everything and everyone. It's why people should oppose Microsoft products at every turn. Also the fact that Microsoft is basically a branch of the US government these days which in turn allows them to avoid all scrutiny, a privilege other tech companies don't have. Microsoft is looking more and more like the US equivalent of China's Tencent.

I appreciate the article but this guy must be living in a delayed universe, The reputation was ruined 10+ years ago and hasn't recovered since. As such people have voted with their wallets and stopped buying Xbox products in large amounts.

Xbox is basically Atari now, Just slap that name on any product and give it a color scheme and job done. Sad.
PSVR1 sold around 10 million and PSVR2 sold around 1 million. I don't see any logical room for a PSVR3 unless they have something special. PSVR was basically PS Move for Sony, hedging their bets just in case VR was a mass market product, but it clearly wasn't. With news of Quest 3/s sales faltering badly and question marks over there even being a Quest 4 I highly doubt a PSVR3 is even being considered.
Biggest mistake this game will make is relying on Sonic characters after Sonic Adventure no one knows. Then selling SEGA nostalgia DLC characters from other games after release. People want a SEGA All Stars game using SEGA characters and stages.
Here we go again with SEGA thinking Nintendo is the only place for their retro games. Enough of this retro games only work best on handheld ideology crap. seriously.
You mean fully backwards compatible with the disc games you no longer make. No thanks. Also they have spent the last years of 360 and two generations destroying Xbox. There is literally no point in them making hardware anymore. Anyone who buys it is just throwing money away. Do we need to bring up a graph to show a death spiral trajectory, the damage is done.
For me Microsoft still haven't released a game on PlayStation. Unless they start putting full games on disc I'll never buy their software. They just want to condition people digitally on all platforms and then do a rug pull on your digital purchases when it is convenient. Sorry not buying into that strategy Microsoft.
or Xbox users are just not interested in Final Fantasy, It is not hard to see that they have been with PlayStation since PS1. This was always a fools errand for Square Enix. Lesson learned I guess.
Physical media is the only thing stopping cloud gaming, Once they have you all digital they will switch your library over to cloud only.

As far as I can tell Microsoft hasn't released a game on any platform, if it isn't on disc or cart then it isn't released. You can fully expect Microsoft to rescind their content (delist) on rival platforms when the pendulum swings back in their favor. Don't buy their software.
Every time something goes exclusive to Xbox, no matter how brief. it always ends up being a car wreck.
