Should really be making a Slim PS5 Pro with Disc drive. Launching that model with no drive didn't do them any favours.
I'd also suspect they saw 500k+ people seeding Uncharted on certain websites and only 20k sales on Steam. That is a lot of copies essentially going out for free that console owners are paying for. If you can't protect your investment on PC then people on console would start to question why am I paying for this when I can get it free elsewhere. Similar trend is happening with TV/Movies subscriptions. I know there is a clutch of users who think piracy doesn't affect sales but in reg...
There are also other factors, cost of living crisis, prices too high and combined with console manufacturers killing the enthusiasm of their bases by having next to no exclusives anymore. They have brought all this upon themselves.
Lack of physical games put me off, I don't want a $500+ paperweight when I can no longer get digital content for it in years to come.
15 years* "Pre-production of Star Citizen began in 2010"
What is kind of sad to think about is there are people in here who were in their 20's and now in their 40's.
8GB of VRAM is not a device built for the future. All I've seen from Valve is an under powered handheld, under powered PC and under powered VR headset and a controller that makes no ergonomic sense.
I was in my 20's when this game started, now in my 40's.
The problem is when you had physical pc games there was no monopoly, You had many outlets stocking PC software which made it more competitive. But it seems people are always willing to embrace digital communism then change their tune when it is too late.
Can't exactly complain when China competes with itself and doesn't respect IP.
Capitalism is by its very nature legalized thievery, Have you never heard the expression "You show me a rich man and I'll show you a thief" Morality is not absolute either, it is a scale. So if you are comparing a mega corporations thievery against a person pirating a game. The corporation is much more egregious on the scale. But no one wants to operate on a scale or a spectrum these days.
Not even sure if it is financially worthwhile releasing on Xbox anymore.
Incomplete and basically a case of, well guys this is what we can kind of emulate at the moment. So you have games from platforms that existed after the Dreamcast because they can emulate a GBA and no MK Gold for Dreamcast or no Ultimate MK3 for Saturn (Best home version), Because again they have no emulation for it. Then there are things like Mortal Kombat for Game Gear but no Master System versions which have a larger screen. It's just a weird disjointed and not very chronological colle...
I mean, I haven't bought any Microsoft game on PlayStation since they started porting their games over. Most of that comes from a major lack of trust in them as a company. Microsoft only ever does moves to hurt the competition so they can ultimately dominate. They are certainly not hurting for cash. Their end goal is to move the goal posts so that everyone is using their cloud servers but that isn't enough for Microsoft, they want to have the cloud servers and be the entertainment com...
Well that isn't going to be a lot of games, I think most Xbox games are not on disc. That is by design.
Does anyone remember when Microsoft were basically giving Game Pass away, effectively dumping is what it's called. In capitalism it's supposed to be an illegal anti competitive practice too. Even that wasn't enough for them to get people interested. Microsoft need to close Xbox and sell the assets and focus on what they do worst, Operating Systems, IT Infrastructure and Cloud computing.
If it's just the PC version then that version had missing graphical features that were in the original PS2 version. Check comparisons on Youtube.
I think I'll wait for more solid proof given EA's ability to lie about a great many things. It says 700k units on Steam then all of a sudden you have 7 million. I'm not convinced given the downward trajectory of the franchise.
You could see Microsoft doing a stupid move like releasing a new console 2 years earlier than expected as some vain attempt win back market share, The only problem is people are done with Xbox period. Literally no point in them releasing new hardware, in fact It would be a slap in the face to release hardware that they know is going to fail on the back of gouging existing customers to subsidize it.
This continuing trend will only hurt Switch 2 adoption.
If Sony are smart they would delist their PC games now.
