WoW,I must be missing something here cause I don't see anything regarding a marketing deal between Sony/Dice/EA other than the ps4 SW bundle deal.

There is infact a deal happening, but I don't think it has anything to do with the marketing sides of things.

The reason I say that is because of the long term goal(10 years) EA/DICE has set out to push SWBF3.

I don't think this has anything to do with Sony or MS marketing deal with DICE/EA.

Remember, when MS used Sony's watch dog trailer and passing it off as their own.

Sony is not allowing that to happen again by putting their name on the trailer this time. I guess that why MS hide their SWBF trailer since they can't use sony's branded SW trailer.

I'm not a big star wars fan, however, I can clearly that DICE and EA went through great length to use the best optimization process their money can buy.

I'm willing to bet the original(high res) models they build for SWBF were reproduced at 8k 12k, and were downgraded( heavenly optimized) to get the alpha build to look the way it does on ps4.

At 25gigs install size for SWBF means the game play/flow of the game is going to be very smooth and respo...

Well said. I sense a new war coming soon....it won't be just about graphics anymore. It'd be about how well devs make use of console's cpu/gpu cores to make their game shine.

Video games has become too predictable. Its kind of like most gamers already know what to expect before it arrives. The new API will make games feel less arranged/unpredictable. I can clearly see the level of spontaneous game play happening all the time once DX12/mantle become mainstream.

A lot of gamers are so gung ho over x1 reaching 1080p.
It can be achieved with a little help from an experienced dev. They have to find a work a round to get MS multiplat game to reach 1080p. But there's a problem with that.

Multi plat games on next gen console have to look the same/close to one another. Well, That's hard to do on both x1/ps4 hardware b/c it doesn't make any sense to use a work a round on both console if one of the console don't really...

You're absolutely right. The DSP(digital signal processor) is a dinosaur. Its was used in the super NES which made it shine back then. I find it quite surprisingly that the article he provided me didn't classify the DSP as an <off the shelve tech> considering how old it is.

DSP is nothing new.

Both systems(x1/ps4) should have about the same amount of cores to utilize. Remember, the x1 has a separate processor to handle audio whereas the ps4 has to use a couple of its gpu cores to handle the audio.

Not to mention, the kinect's hardware resources are now available to the devs for game use. So expect x1 game sounds to be better(meaning more controlled audio channels) than sony's game sounds once DX12 is released later this year.

VR
1) Give players the option to use head set or blue tooth audio device. Hearing game sounds for long hours(close to your ears)is not good.

2) Make apps that people have always wanted to experience....like exploring the moon/mars(by yourself or with a fiend)rocket take off would be cool as well.

Delaying Zelda Wii U isn't a bad thing if Nintendo want to make the game better.

Shadow maps can be used to hide unwanted polygons(or graphics) in a scene to get back some(or not waste) processing power on a DX12 based hardware. Shadow maps can also be used to hide empty space.

This makes sense for a game that is dark.

Take your time Nintendo. Adding new ideas in a game is better than spending more time to give that game a graphical upgrade. way to go Nintendo.

EDIT: graphics don't contribute to having better game play ,but idea do. I'm willing to bet they're adding some unique game play mechanic in Zelda Wii U.

I can see the next Gears game using multi-threading shadow map rendering a lot. Its going to be one of the best looking game at E3 because Gear's storyline has gone back to its Dark roots.
