@Elwenil
There aren't hundreds of places to buy PC games, there are a handful, so you are mistaken right there. Saying people are hilarious and their opinions are ludicrous indicates that you're a troll, or at least talk like one.
I wouldn't be so sure about that.
The thing I find so alarming is the level of hatred and vitriol this has caused.
7-11 doesn't sell the microbrew beer I like and the specialty beer shop doesn't sell Budweiser. I don't scream my head off in anger about it, I shop at both stores.
This whole thing is making gamers look like the angry, entitled, whining, basement dwellers people say they are. Sorry but it's true.
It's a monopoly for PC games, for the most part.
Have you even seen an unmoderated discussion forum and what it turns in to? It becomes unfixable. That's what Steam is now.
A recent fix comes to mind, the review bomb mechanism they put in place; the fact that they even need to implement something like that shows how systemic the problem really is.
All Valve Corporation can do now is add some features and tweak some others. Steam is beyond repair.
Based on that logic, that people should be able to play a game the way they want to, Sekiro should have an easy mode.
20 downvotes so far. I guess they don't think people should be able to do what they want with their own money.
Destructoid likes games that look like children's finger paintings.
I mean PC games exclusive to the Steam store, not really Playstation or XBox (I should have been more clear). I thought I read that Steam Early Access titles can not be sold anywhere else, maybe I'm mistaken or that's no longer the case.
Please tell me what you mean by Valve providing funding to developers with no strings attached, what type of funding?
If Valve Corporation paid for exclusives would Steam users close their accounts and boycott the store?
Thoughts and opinions please.
You have all that stuff at Steam, don't you? Just shop there.
Who is everyone? I'm not against the Epic store, and neither are a lot of people I know. Many top-level developers aren't against it either.
What do you think of the review bombing, do you support it?
I am starting to think that most people who claim they are strongly opposed to the Epic store are just trolls doing what trolls do, causing chaos for attention and lolz. Normal people who think Epic is detrimental to the gaming ecosystem don't act like children and review bomb.
This whole Epic thing is pathetic. If you don't like the store don't shop there, simple as that.
These articles are just clickbait at this point, controversy gets clicks.
I suck at so many games. I just started playing Enter the Gungeon again and can't get past the second boss. Who cares, it's still fun.
Exactly. I don't think anything can save Steam at this point, except a total and complete overhaul which I don't see happening. Epic isn't going away either.
@AnubisG
"I enjoy seeing the PC elitists cry...Hahahahahahahahahahahaha ha muh gamez no on one launcher, cry cry cry"
...is what I was talking about.
It won't matter. Valve can become a good developer again and still be a terrible vendor.
Isn't trolling prohibited here?
@Elwenil
"Be serious...your ignorance...ignoring facts because they don't fit your chosen narrative...lunatics...anyone with common sense"
i am the troll...I am purposefully denying facts...and on and on.
I'm not interested in debating you. Bye.
