Why is Valve Corporation so secretive?
I'd like to see where they are on that list.
This guy is awesome.
Stadia can exist alongside the PS5 and the Switch can exist alongside both of them. This all-or-nothing mentality is terrible.
Those things aren't vitally important to everyone. Different people have different ways of looking at things.
I wish he was banned for life. He's not entitled to a a Sony account, it's not a right, it's a privilege.
Why does he enjoy talking like that? That is the real question.
Shouldn't a company like Sony make its own policies? If not, who do you think should make those policies?
I find it tiresome seeing people use the word censorship for decision-making.
@gamer7804
You used two extremes.
Cultural appropriation? What?
If you want to see outrage just read any article on the Epic Store, you'll see real gamers going ballistic (over a store no less). Most people opposed to porn games just don't want their kids exposed to pornography, they aren't outraged or anything.
@TekoIie
Your attempt to portray me as a hypocrite failed. Besides, why would you want to make it about me when it's about Steam?
How people don't see this is beyond me. This 'why ban sex but not violence' argument is old.
Console developers won't waste their time making them because they know they won't be accepted.
Boobs and violence are completely different things. It amazes me that some people still use this argument.
You can ban/censor one thing and not another.
@TekoIie
"If you're going to use the cut Steam takes as a negative then you need to be consistent in your criticism and get onto MS, Sony and Nintendo for doing the exact same thing."
I didn't mention Steam's cut at all. But even if I did I would not need to criticize MS, Sony, and Nintendo because that's not what this article is about.
"Amazing how we never saw this defence for MS when TR became a timed ...
@TekoIie
Steam isn't very good for developers, that is obvious at this point. If it were devs wouldn't be turning their backs on Valve Corporation.
As for all those features you think are great, I understand. But different experiences are great too. What's the point of Epic adding the same features, so that it can be just like Steam?
Of course Epic is paying for exclusives, they are valuable. Exclusive deals have been around...
Steam loyalism makes no sense at all.
Fake news. The title 'Epic Games Store Dev' is grossly misleading, and so are the stats.
Who cares about the narrative some people have made, it doesn't matter.
What matters is what Steam is today, and it isn't very good.
Let's let developers decide what games to make and where to sell them, let's never take those decisions away from them.
Why?
