DCU Online is going to be my first MMO and would have been even with a monthly fee but dang this is some great news.
Hard mode isnt that bad once you play it a few times but Crushing mode is no joke. 2 to three shots is all it takes to take down drake at times so you really have to rethink your strategy for some of the firefights. Also the enemies will rush you a lot more often which can really put you in a bind if your still being shot at. I dont normally like playing on harder difficulties myself but for Uncharted I made an exception and Im glad i did too.
I wish I could get the TMNT game. It might have to wait a few weeks but thats oen game ive been wanting for awhile.
It sold about 2 million or so I believe. I have had it since day one and probably have played through it 20 or more times in the last two years. I just beat it three times in the last few days because im finally trying to get a platinum trophy on it. Played it on hard twice and then on Crushing. Now Im playing it again on normal just to grab the treasures I missed. Anyway Uncharted is one of the best games this gen and Uncharted 2 will just raise the bar for this type of game.
Well I just want the game in my hands. Lucky reviewers who get to play this epic game before me. Anyway from everything Ive seen of the SP and what I played of the Co-op and MP in June ND has a real winner on their hands.
Individually each of Sony's 1st and 2nd party titles may not sell as much as say Halo 3. But they also dont need to stand on their own either. Each of their titles are good to great games that sell very well over long periods of time. So basically Sony doesnt put all their eggs in one basket. They know that giving people of wide tastes different games to play will generate more income for them in the long term. Thats a really smart move on Sony's part IMO.
Microsoft's answer to everything. But, but, but......... we have Halo. That wont fly for long for gamers. Might work good for the bots, but true gamers need more than one franchise.
Yeah I expected them to at least say why they work better. But this is just going to come back and bite them in the butt. It seems they are getting complacent to just charge people for Live and just be happy about getting multiplat titles and the occasional DLC that still has to be bought by their customers. I always figured Sony had a long term plan set out and none of us on the outside could see it. They are really starting to pick up some steam now with the glut of great Exclusive titles they have out and are coming out in the future. Also you can tell they are going to be backing the PS3 for a long time to come just like they did the PS2 and PS1. I still cant believe how many people are crying about MC getting beat over there. Some are even calling for the whole thing to be scrapped or restarted. Seems some wont be happy until they see the so called All-Mighty MC win the whole thing when their are honestly better characters out there.
I didnt want to watch it but at the same time I couldnt help myself. Allthough after seeing it and being so freaking impressed I nearly passed out. (just kidding) I cant help but think about how awesome this will be with a controller in my hand on my 46in Sony Bravia and playing in 5.1 surround sound. Oct 13th cannot get here fast enough.
Day one buy for me even though it will only be a few weeks after I buy Uncharted 2. This game is going to be so much fun to play and yet another reason why I love the PS3.
Im perfectly ok with no MP in the new R&C. Its still a day one purchase for me. Same for Uncharted 2 which also comes out in Oct. Anyway its good to see devs still pumping out excellent SP titles. Too many games today have shoddy MP tacked on which people dont even play more than once yet if a game has SP only it gets bad mouthed for no reason. I really dont understand that concept.
Sony has always had their own plan and not allowed anyone else to dictate to them what they should do. That is one reason why Ive always loved their consoles and games. You can rest assured with them they are in it for the long term and over time will give you the better choice in games over a wide range of genres. Sony really is starting to show the strength they have in the industry with all the recent announcements and the sheer volume of big Exclusive titles they have.
I for one like the new look. For me its about the game and not really the look anyway. But its good to see Sony changing things up a bit to really make things feel more integrated.
Unless I somehow missed it I didnt notice an actual release date. All the otehr stuff is great but i want to know when exactly I can pick this up. I still own the first 2 on PS2 and the PSP one but this is still a day one buy for me. Oh and since I saw someone calling people fanboys because they liked 3.0. Well I for one love 3.0 but that doesnt make me a fanboy.
I for one love the update. It looks a lot better on my HDTV and also with the boxes around my friends list I could use some themes I havent in the past. For an example, If I tried to use the Mirror's Edge theme in the past I could never really see my friends list but with the new update they show up a lot better. Anyway I didnt expect any new game changing features. However what I did get makes me feel like Im much better connected to PSN.
I actually like the new look. I especially like the friend's list change. I had a few themes that made it really hard to see my friends list clearly so I never used them. Now that Ill be able to see them better I will actually start changing my theme up more and using the ones I didn't before. Also I expect once we start getting some more dynamic themes we will appreciate the new look even more.
Yep this is another must have game for me this year. Ive been playing the R&C games since the first one and have all of them except Deadlocked and Secret Agent Clank. If you have a PS3 you owe it to yourself to give this game a try.
