So after years of Gamestop being an unchecked pawnshop with no regulation somebody is finally cracking down? The sad part is, Gamestop knew this was coming sooner or later and just decided to deal with it when the time came.
The sad part is that this still won't prevent them from trying to ram pre-orders and garbage subscriptions down your throat or treating their employees like garbage for not doing a good enough job screwing customers out of money.
I will never shop at Gamestop again. They make a living ripping people off.

I will grant you that Warcraft is a ripoff of Warhammer, but then most high fantasy settings are just ripoffs of Lord of the Rings.
Warcraft is in no danger, at all, in any way shape or form. There are not that many people currently playing WoW that will leave it for another game and I promise you that at least 30-50% of those who do leave WoW for WAR will be back in WoW before long.

Yes, they learned their lesson with the Pro Street demo. A lot of people were excited about Pro Street until they played that demo and saw what it was actually like.
It's interesting that this game happens to be named Rage, because every time it's brought up that's precisely what it seems to cause. You do of course realize that unless this game is the best thing ever made that its going to be insulted worse than Lair by its detractors... Right?

I mean its a good article and all but what is the writer smoking when he makes a statement like that? The PS2 alone has a greater install base than all three current generation consoles combined much less what the numbers look like when you add in the XBox and the Gamecube.

I think this is all a ploy to get around the fact that the PS3 owners know this game sucks. So they're claiming that its a new and improved version and trying to make you feel all smug about the 360 owners not getting the fixes.
And the truth will be that it still sucks and they're just trying to con you in to buying it.

What, precisely, am I denial about? Do you even know what that word means? Because it doesn't mean what you think it means. Denial is when something is undeniably true and you don't want to admit it.
By the way, if you want to see the face of denial, look in the mirror. If throwing out petty insults was the best you could do instead of... You know... making any sort of counter argument then it is you who are in denial.
By "Working On" they mean they kinda sorta maybe in a back burner way might have sort of maybe been kinda working on them but the fact that Wii has been so successful has nothing to do with the timing.

I had no idea the development cost of Lich King set them back that much. A quick infusion of cash from this gimmick should help them.

The Microsoft way of doing business is now and has always been to throw money at something until you get what you want. So start selling 360s at bargain bin prices, throw money at developers to get exclusives, and spend like a drunken sailor just so you can say you "won" something.
It was like this to a lesser extent last generation. Microsoft ended the last gen 1.5 billion in the hole and "beat" the Gamecube... A system that actually made money even if it did...
It is important that we have the "Is PC gaming dead" discussion at least three times a week because by this point we definitely haven't seen the discussion played out from every single solitary possible angle five ways from Sunday.

Microsoft has never been a company that competed on the merits of its products and has always been a company that bought and bullied its way to success.
