Did you miss AntennaGate? That would be the equivalent of Hello Games eventually release No Man's Sky 4 with a multi billion dollar budget, but then saying they goofed up and the tv screen will only show the game properly if you hold the controller behind your head "The RIGHT way"...
Please refrain from commenting on such things in the future as you clearly don't have enough sense to make respectful and intelligent conversation.
Hello G...
Wait... So why would someone who has no interest even waste time to look at an article about PS4 games to purchase? Why don't you stop complaining about the games you are missing and just get a ps4 so you can play them too. Its cheaper than most graphics cards.
On topic, outside of the person not able to speak english as a first language, I didn't see any reason to take offense. Its an opinion piece. Black Flag is a little old now, but other than that those are all...
Wait a second I am confused. When did the rift become so inexpensive to buy that now a Rift + Upgraded X1 is cheaper than a current ps4 + psvr?
This feels like sonic vs mario all over again.
Honestly, they are just labels.. Alpha, Beta, Pre-Release, etc.... And they can mean completely different things from one team to the next and even one project to the next. Typically all pre-release versions of a game that are opened to some degree to public for testing purposes are called betas because it is the easiest and most common label nowadays for people to understand. While some groups may have had publicly an open Alpha, it is just kind of wierd to even say that nowadays in this re...
@Imalwaysright , etc...
I think you misread the article... He says ROTR borrows more from TLOU (not the original reboot) than from Uncharted as it plays more heavily into the survival pieces. I'm not sure how comparing when the initial reboot was released factors in to this. Unless you are implying that ROTR and the Reboot are near identical clones with the only changes being the story.
I don't think anyone can argue the rebooted TR series takes cues from ...
hmm... i'd be interested in seeing a comparison of console sales between PS4 NA + JP and X1 NA + EU.
That might give you some idea of why JP is considered relevant for both Consoles, and why both are working to get sales there still.
I think this article is relevant to N4G in that it is directly impactful to gamers who play FFXIV. If you have credible reasoning as to why we shouldn't offer condolences for what appears to be the cruel death of a mother and her children, The mother of which contributed to a reasonably significant character in a significant MMO, please have the guts to speak up or move on. clicking disagree on almost every comment is disrespectful and cowardly... I'm not saying you can't disagree...
Come on now.. VGChartz doesn't track digital sales. It only tracks physical sales, so for games especially, it will ALWAYS undertrack. despite that, its no different than using Amazon numbers or any other subset of sales as an indicator of success. You won't ever get exact numbers but you can get a rough idea. That is what it is intended to do. It should always be taken with a grain of salt, but does give some insight that we would otherwise never have (for those that care.)
Yeah the comparison to bloodborne vgchartz numbers is dishonest. MS is including digital sales where vgchartz doesn't last I checked.... you would have to take vgchartz numbers for rotr to get a reasonable comparison. Then they would at least only be comparing retail sales.
I'm also confused by the logic of the release window. Are you saying that during the most spend happy time of the year, people are not willing to get more than one game in the same month or two...
If you aren't a troll and only care about the x1, why are you "criticizing Sony" anyway?
I got a crazy idea here... what if there are just currently more PS4 fans than X1 fans in general.... In the US and worldwide. Imagine how agrees would go if that were the case..
Cloud gaming is interesting I'm just not going to hold my breath. Extremely controlled tech demos mean nothing when across the boards, gaming servers are struggling to keep ga...
@zcarnut
Newzoo is reporting by publisher not by console... so you would, have to separate out ea, Activision etc. To get the numbers you are claiming... aside from that Sony has clearly won npd for almost the whole year. Manipulating the meaning of obscure articles is dishonest to say the least.
I'm also confused at how the 360 and ps3 sold about the same and some how both current gen consoles are doing 40% better than last gen. That would imply both ar...
Honestly... I could care less about the awards. I watch this stuff for the game announcements...
that is pretty awesome!
Yeah, the source of the article kind of indicates there will be significant bias. This person switched to Xbox after the PS2 and has been a fan of the system ever since. His best argument made is only that despite Bad decisions made my microsoft, there are some good things there still. That can be said about almost anything. Ultimately this guy is just saying he is as the site indicates, An Xbox enthusiast. He has significant brand loyalty. I do like that he focuses on what Xbox provides vs g...
When gamers speak up and know their facts they are probably the single most powerful positive drive for innovation.. you kids today really don't get how things work at all...
That is kinda funny. lol.
SALES = MORE GAMES with BIGGER BUDGETS... low sales means less games and smaller budgets per game. If sales dip too low or if sales gets too stifled too early, then it means possible abandonment. It represents a considerable investment to go through the effort of porting a game to multiple platforms. If there isn't enough of an ACTIVE userbase to support a certain console, chances are it might not make it to such console. Money will have to be brought to the table to keep it on the consol...
I Think Phil is better than anyone else previously in his position. His biggest problem though is he get over attention. I think its true, even when he tweets its turned into some big momentous announcement. Despite it being good PR for Spencer, I think its doing more harm than good for the brand. But the media need those click bait articles and we as consumers can't help but click when we see that juicy headline..
To be fair I dont think either are failures. I think it mostly just shows that the PS3 sold better than most people give it credit for when put into the proper perspective.
