On the other hand Axios2, they could have included the PS2 and stated 'More than a quarter of a billion consoles sold'... Sound better?
I dunno if it needs to be a reboot.
Resi 4 managed to completely re-create the series without needing to reboot it.
Sure, the games have gone horribly downhill since #4, but that doesn't mean they can't start fresh while also keeping what has gone before intact.
@Mystic
I've often wondered how many troll accounts are actually people having fun and winding other people up... Unfortunately it is likely that the number is quite small :)
Makes for entertaining reading though :)
I'd love to buy the Ghost edition. But the current UK price of £150 (approx $255) is just not worth it!
You can't honestly believe what you type can you?
I wouldn't say either MS or Sony really 'care' about gamers. They are businesses after all.
However, I think Sony have a MUCH better understanding of Gamers than MS. For example - Sony don't seem to target 'casual', 'hardcore' as separate market segments to be dominated. They just make good appealing games across the board.
Also, with MS I tend to feel every decision they make is with profit or market-share in mind rather th...
Yawn.
I bought a PS4 Day 1, and just after E3 got an XB1... Resolution has nothing to do with how much fun I have on each machine.
So far the best looking game I have played is inFamous. So far the game I have had the most fun with is Dead Rising 3.
The only reason to buy Console A over Console B (assuming you only have one choice) is for the 1st party / exclusive games you like the most. Everything else is secondary.
Thes...
Genuinely intrigued by what other 1st party games Sony have that you think are 'lacking almost everything'
I'm keeping my expectation in check.
I love the Ratchet Series, but Fuse was so bad that it knocked my confidence in Insomniac.
Everything about Sunset Overdrive looks awesome, and it appears to have some interesting multiplayer options.
Fingers crossed it's as good as it looks. Not a Day 1 buy for me, but maybe a Day 2 if the consensus is good! :)
This game is starting to sound more like a spiritual successor to Metropolis Street Racer / Project Gotham Racing with social features.
I'm OK with that as I loved both those series. And I'd love another PGR game on XB1.
I'm concerned it only has 50 cars - and that it's going down the route of ridiculous DLC (something that is bugging me on Forza 5 right now)
I think leaving out tuning is probably OK for this game, as it leve...
The prices are ridiculous, and if Sony keep them for the full launch it'll show they are out of touch with the way people are consuming entertainment.
People are now used to paying a low price, like £4.99 a month for all you can watch Movies / TV on Netflix. And £4.99 per month for all you can listen to Music.
Maybe you skim-read through my post, or just didn't get it.
The only point I made about sales was that from all the people screaming about 'OMG a new Team ICO game', and all the people saying the game HAS to be a MASTERPIECE - it's strange that ICO and SotC sold so few copied.
As I stated, the experience was brilliant in both games. But that experience was flawed in some regards because of clunky controls and in some cases design.
Congrats RosweeSon on the most impenetrable wall of gibberish I have ever tried to read through on N4G (and that's saying something).
Even if you just hit the Enter key twice a few random times while typing it would have helped break up the dirge of poor communication.
I remember the old days where we played games for fun. Sure there was the playground spats about 'My Commodore 64 is better than your Sinclair Spectrum' - but ultimately when we we...
I was thinking exactly the same
Hmmm, there must be a way to spin this as bad news....
Nope...
<Goes back to playing Virtues Last Reward, and downloading this months free PSN+ Vita titles>
The only mistake Sony / Team ICO made was showing it so early.
If they had shown nothing, there would have still been speculation and anticipation for whatever Team ICO was working on - but the reveal of The Last Guardian was so epic, intriguing and impressive that it's a victim of its own success.
What amuses is me is the level of hype for this game.
I remember when ICO came out. It got fairly mixed reviews, and nobody I knew had played it. I liked it on release, but traded it as it was OK, but not outstanding - mainly because of the slightly clunky controls. I bought it again a few years later and appreciated it a lot more, but it still has it's faults.
Same with Colossus. I didn't know many people who had much to say about it when it rele...
It's unfortunate that in this day and age, it's quicker and more profitable to write an article than actually apply journalistic integrity and check sources / get comment first.
If only they were so quick to update the story with a correction...
That would be a nice feature if it's true
I went for the PS4 first because of historical performance. PS1, PS2, PS3 have all had line-ups of games I have loved. I also liked the price of the system, and it allowed me to move my PS3 to another room.
I was not planning to get an XB1, but E3 performance, and a couple of friends bought one with Dead Rising 3, and it looked like too much fun in Co-Op.
I bought a WiiU recently for Mario Kart 8, and because the number of games I wanted to play had reached ...
