A valid argument and an interesting read. Addiction can be in the form of anything and not good and video game addictions shouldn't be overlooked by any means. But let's not put people who play video games at the front when things go wrong because we should always blame people and look to help them.
I see video gaming as a major stress reliever in many cases and a way to leave the clutches of reality when it gets too stressful and you just need some time to unwind and...
MSFT doesn't need to change anything. Sure PS+ may be more value or whatever yet Live still racks in billions of dollars and increases users and seems to not be stopping. When you say it "needs" to stop you are basically saying that it is a problem and is bleeding which just isn't the case. Try telling business men and investors that we will now be making a service that makes billions to now be free... Sure it would be cool but let's be real here.
There are plenty of already made gaming devices though. What I'm saying is I'm sure there will be a premium to be paid because Steam made it but the option is already here and cheap.
Here is the thing about "hardcore gamers"
If something doesn't fit a certain mold it is perfectly fine to write it off as a failure even if it's promising or hasn't even come out but don't you dare try to write off a console or handheld before it comes out or has flaws because that isn't right or isn't smart such as a Vita,PS3,3DS,360.
This is a promising project and sure it might not get it right the first time like most pr...
I guess that makes sense but you can build a capable PC is a small form fitting box as well. I just think that if PC gaming in the living room is what you are looking for you should build your own in order not be restricted and likely be cheaper. I do understand of course.
Why not just build a PC and connect it to a TV and not do the whole Steam Box thing?
Please be true!!
The ability to play native 4K video and much more and are you surprised that it can beat seven year old technology.
Tegra 4 is simply a beast of a processor. This is when the now mobile processors have surpassed the current generation (in terms of graphics.) This is when I get happy about the possibilities of future mobile devices.
A Tegra 4 5 inch 1080p PSV would just be the most epic thing to come out.
If I was Sony I would only release three of their exclusives during the launch window. You can't just launch seven killer games on day one are you crazy.
Launch with a plat former, a shooter, an action adventure, and a party game. This is a marathon not a sprint.
1.)Microsoft made a mistake on charging for online? That makes them billions and people are still willing to pay for it even when three other options are free. I don't define that as a mistake. I could understand if the numbers decreased rapidly and people left but try asking shareholders to stop charging for a rapidly growing service.
2.) Lack of exclusive. Debatable. There comes a Catch-22 in exclusives. Too few makes hardcore fans unhappy. While too many will cannibali...
No offense didn't MS just launch maybe the biggest game of their generation a little over a month ago with one of the biggest hardcore followings in gaming?
Or a 4k monitor for $5000
PS3 has one cross platform game and that came isn't really cross platform actually as PC isn't Dust and it just has some effect on it.
Do people really praise these companies sale figures like this with congratulations? What's the deal?
Killzone MP has a lot to be desired. The controls have noticeable amounts of input lag and the formula isn't very different.
It has nice environments and game modes but from a standpoint of game play I think Killzone is very lacking.
Steam has 50 million users compared to Live having 40 million just to let you know.
I am very excited for the possibilites of the Xbox. Microsoft is hungry and I have a feeling that it will be the most powerful machine as well.
So we can always assume great things because of a past product?
Like how Vista was supposed to be great after XP.
Or how Ubuntu 12.4 was supposed to be the answer
Or how no one gave the Xbox 360 a chance after the original Xbox
r the decline of innovation from Apple iPhone.
It seems pretty plausible to never take what happened past as anything and actually wait till we have concrete answers.
The fact that people really get joy when a huge corporation succeeds in passing another corporation in the number of sales is really sad. I really go to these articles not to look at the numbers but to read the comments of the rampant stupidity of people who cling to these brand names and swear pledging under them but the reality is none of these companies truly care about them.
The anger and the dismissal is all just funny I just really want gamers to please grow up but that...
