Good no more QTE. I absolutely hate that in video games or an extended use of them. It seems like I am watching a movie or mildly controlling the outcomes of a heavily scripted game.

Every other media for has no issue going this route and PC. I don't see the issue outside of faulty internet system.
I will be going digital because it is just more convenient for me and I lack any physical media anyway anymore. I also not crippled by ISP as others sadly are so I see no issue.

Sony bleeds because they are inadequate in the TV business mainly not because they particularly care about the core fanbase.
They produce over-priced(compared to the market not value) products in a way more competive marketplace.

You laugh but this is the reality of the internet infrastructure. In some countries like US it is completely a joke as a whole and over-priced. Until we have an internet breakthrough or the government gets involved(which I oppose). The reality is that streaming, downloading and such isn't the forefront of the present.
Lol. You think TV broadcast will adopt that in four years? On top of that ISP will as well. There is no way it will be a standard in four years. If TV hasn't adopted it or internet to support it we are looking at about ten years.
I think what this really boils down to is that the mobile space has become diverse and is now into heavy competition. Devices ranging from $150-$300 all seem to be competing for the same consumers now.
Vita is great but the competition is different from what was happening in the PSP days of 2004.

Yes except my digital purchases won't carry over. I find that so crazy. All these digital cool indie games that I bought seem to be a waste. Sure I can still play them on my PS3 but that just seems silly. I'm okay without the physical games but no digital is crucial.

I think the GDDR5 refers to what is used in the GPU specifically. The other ram is likely DDR3.
I love how all of you are truly optimistic that in the next 5-10 years internet will be great. Looking strictly at US it's a joke really. Expensive, data caps, throttling. Unless we obtain new companies this streaming dream is a.dream period.
There will be a PS5. Maybe after that we will.

Well sure it was about a year ago top hardware; kinda. Besides the GPU nothing on the Vita screams great hardware anymore. And that has more to do with a rapidly changing mobile space.
RAM= low end phone
CPU= mid range phone/tablet
GPU= BEAST
screen: mid-range
Still does that mean you should pay $70 more than the competition maybe but clearly the average consumer do...
Vita isn't at a good price though. If it was it would be selling better.
Not only does the Vita need a price drop so does the memory cards. When the competition is cheaper of course the average consumer will choose the cheaper device.
The Vita is cool technology no doubt but a $250 price tag is no doubt a deterrent.
To think Apple isn't competing with Vita or 3DS is silly in 2013.
