Honestly, as someone who played the original when it came out, I actually think it has MORE of an appeal to brand new players. I think if anyone is going to be harsh on the game, it's 100% the people that played the original. I definitely have my gripes with it and it really doesn't live up to what I wanted but I think brand new players who are into story driven RPG's, this will be a 9/10 or 10/10 for them.
The game is locked at 30fps. Nobody should be experiencing frame rate issues on either version of the PS4.
Meanwhile, in reality, the reason Xbox lost this generation and will continue losing is because of their inability to admit to their failures. Either quit whining about it and start making a superior product that gamers can get excited about or get out of the console space entirely.
Is it like the original Budokai? That's literally the only DBZ game I ever really liked.
Please no. Virtually all the new characters in Crisis Core were completely unnecessary. It wasn't a terrible game but it's not canon FF7 to me. They should have just expanded more on Avalanche or other background characters in the game and not created this new lore that didn't feel like FF7 at all. I'm hoping that's what the Remake does. If this turns out to be Crisis Core with better graphics, this is going to be one of the most disappointing games of all time.
Personally, I'll be using the old costumes on my playthrough. Don't really care for the redesign Carlos at all. I understand making him look a little more Latino but the dude looks like he has a live animal on his head, no thanks. That's one huge critique I have of these new RE's. I think they're taking a little too much liberties changing things that don't need to be changed. If you're making a remake, make the game as close as possible to the original.
@yomfweeee I'm going by total revenues. Who cares how much consoles are being sold if other countries are spending more on actual games? Regardless though, I don't think anyone can disagree that Japan needs more representation considering the amount of Japanese developed games out there.

No, it's actually China, the US, then Japan. China had even less representatives at 3. UK isn't even top 5 yet they get 9? Just doesn't make much sense to me.
For those keeping score, Japanese media outlets only had 4 representatives vote on the Game Awards despite most of the actual games being voted on were made by Japanese developers. US had 24 and UK had 9. I got to imagine if Japan was properly represented, DS would have definitely won this year. Hope that changes in the future. I just don't see how you can vote on all these Japanese games without getting opinions from actual Japanese people.
NVIDIA has entered the chat.
The moment I was talking about was broad daylight and it still scared the sh*t out of me, lol.
Looks great. Still remember the first time one of those creatures snuck up on me in the original and was just watching me build a hut. Scared the absolute sh*t out of me.
It's getting to the point where games without facial mo-cap look like games from two generations ago. I know it's costly but this is something that games that are striving for realism are going to have to do from now on. I mean just imagine Bethesda coming out with another clunky Fallout with 10+ year old tech after seeing something like this.
I don't know if there's a lot of those people but I do know that those that do hate on the game are VERY vocal for some reason. It's like they take it personally that somehow people can like/love this game and they didn't.
Lol, imagine thinking this isn't the game of the year.
Speak for yourself. He built this amazing world from scratch. Arguably even more intricate than MGS. Even though this game doesn't NEED a sequel I'd definitely like to see one. There are a lot of ways he could play it too. Make a prequel before the Death Stranding and have a guy like Cliff or Die-Hardman be the protagonist or do a sequel where maybe now he has to fight against Bridges because they've become corrupt and Die-Hardman is the boss or something like that. The game is to...
@Kufta Epic as in they have impact. Nobody is talking about Dark Souls or Bloodborne bosses today but they still do talk about Snake vs Ocelot. It will be similar for this game.
I can give you a ton of reasons why I enjoy it.
1. The world and the lore that Kojima built from scratch is incredible.
2. It has some of the strongest most fleshed out characters I've seen in a game in a long time.
3. The story in general is an all time great.
4. The acting is on par with some of the best TV or movies out there. A few actors in the game easily deserve some type of award for their performances.
5. There's not a ga...
Lol, no way this person beat the game with a statement like there was "no real payoff". The ending was easily top 5 in the history of video games. I mean people can say what they want about the gameplay, I get it, it's not for everyone but the story is an all timer.
I wouldn't be so sure. Word is Konami sold the rights to Silent Hill to Sony so that Kojima can make Silent Hills. It's possible they could do the same thing with Metal Gear since Konami doesn't seem interested or capable of continuing the series.
