When and IF they ever get the game to what they envisioned it will be insignificant in the eyes of most gamers.

This game was never meant to be that great. It’s just a live service title that little effort was put into and it shows.
Jill moves nothing like Claire. If anything she moves a lot faster in RE3. I agree on the violence though lol.
It’s becoming that way for a lot of game developers and it’s really unfortunate. Standards and expenses have increased tremendously. Gaming and technology in general have moved forward at a very fast rate. It’s crazy to think that this Earth is as old as it is and technology has only recently advanced in a VERY short time frame.
Linear is less realistic. With technology advances devs want to expand the game world.

Yep. Like why is GTA 6 taking so long? There is no excuse for it other than development problems or pure laziness. And I’m going with a little bit of both. Dan Houser leaving was not a good sign. I’m sure game development used to be a lot more fun than it is nowadays. It’s a lot harder now and there’s so little incentive to create anything new. The game studios have become akin to movie studios. Releasing proven ideas and nothing else.
Yes, it’s why no footage was released. One look at the characters in this game and I’m like seriously? Feels like I’m playing The Simpson’s Road Rage which was a very good game but not what these are supposed to be.
I don’t see it hurting them much, but it is the first Rockstar product I can think of that is shoddy. I’m really hoping this isn’t the beginning of poor quality for them. RDR 2 may very well end up being the final memento of Rockstar as a company before they lost their way.
Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, and Insomniac are the only ones I can think of.
They act like they had anything to do with this remaster. All they did was slap their name on it. Rockstar themselves obviously put zero effort into it or it would have come out a whole lot better.
It’s a shame that game companies are so shady nowadays. Now we know why no footage was released prior to release.

Why does it have to be a “decade game”? Maybe release a smaller game and reduce the dev time?
Returnal is a little too hard and niche for a lot of people, but it’s still an amazing game. Just not hugely accessible.
I’ve noticed R* really doesn’t do much of anything anymore except updates for GTA online.
Of course it’s getting closer every day it’s certainly not getting farther away. 🤷🏼♂️

There are some moments where the games look quite well, but the glitches are too prevalent and the characters just look plain weird. Along with some iconic songs removed, I don’t see how this is “Definitive” at all. One of the worst 60 bucks I’ve ever spent.
