These older games run far better on their native systems.
Apparently Sony is supporting PS4 until 2025. Some are saying that means third party and others that it also includes first party. So we will see if games like Spider Man 2 and Wolverine end up being cross gen.
September has seemed to be the likeliest month for this game to be released imo. If it is being released in September then we should get an exact release date next month or at Sony’s showcase sometime this Summer.

All of the villains appeared in like two scenes early in the game and then reappeared right near the end. It felt rather strange to me.
They likely had some trouble with optimization and instead of a delay they just scrapped them. Which is good because these PS5 and Series X only games need to start rolling in now. It’s been two years almost since they came out.
Because the service they are releasing isn’t meant to compete with GamePass.
After reading the the comments it’s made me realize that they probably have something worked out with Microsoft. Microsoft is the only company that has used the “AAAA” term. We will know in a few weeks I suppose. Buying exclusive rights is really the only thing Microsoft can do right now and it’s what people are predicting they are going to do in order to have something lined up this year. I bet at least one game coming this year that we thought was for both consoles will in fact be timed...

RE is my fav also. The first game I ever remember playing was RE2 with my dad.
Capcom seems to really be focused on the RE games that people want like remakes and the like. So I’m confused as to why they are wasting resources on this. Especially when it’s obviously become a bigger task to complete than originally planned. Which is also strange to me because it’s really not much different than Mercenaries.
PS3 emulation is an expensive and difficult affair for Sony. PS3 games will stay streaming only until a PS console comes out that has PS3 emulation. Which won’t happen until it is cost effective.

Gaming is far too expensive nowadays to even take risks so we get a lot of similar games now. Just like the movie industry. Remakes and sequels.
