Possibly, but there will need to be some larger connection within that I believe. Not sure if it was their intention or not, but speculation has run so wild regarding his identity that simply revealing him as a character like Azrael would most likely be underwhelming for fans of the game's lore. The more I think about it, the more I see the potential for the Arkham Knight either being Thomas Wayne/Dr, Hurt or Damien Wayne, if not under the actual cowl then at least pulling the strings. It...
Totally agree with every point you made. Something like AR is obviously most practical in the wild & outside the confines of the home, and considering the issues Glass had in regards to this setting, we are still quite a ways off from consumers finding practical appeal in the tech that would outweigh all of the negatives.
The rising trend of VR seems to indicate that in its case, those hurdles have been cleared and it's finally at the point of being viable in the cons...
That game seemed to me to be meant to flesh out Kratos' character & motivations, something the other games rarely did, beyond the whole "made me kill my family" thing. It's not vital to the main story but for fans that enjoy the lore, it was a worthwhile experience in my eyes. As a game it may not reach the levels of the mainline series but it's also better than most hack n slashers on the market. You could say the same regarding the handheld titlesin terms of story,...
Yeah because letting a monkey swing on a set of bars is psychologically traumatizing & not totally naturally for the lil fella. All the monkeys I talk to think swinging from shit is dope....they'd do it for free, at least Naughty Dog would pay them in mad bananas.
@ezzz
Did you play the game on release or well after? The devs ended up patching Ascension & specifically that Trial of Archimedes section to make it easier w/in around a week or two of release, dialed up the drops & changed the enemies a bit.
I would personally like to see Sony take one of their biggest franchises the episodic route. The one that sticks out to me w/ the most potential would be The Adventure of Young Nathan Drake a la the Young Indiana Jones spinoff. It was great playing as young Drake at the beginning of UC3 & if Thief's End truly is the end of his story, it wouldn't exclude great prequel potential, and the nature of his story would most likely benefit from an episodic structure. I'm not sure God o...
I definitely agree that it would be in Sony's best interests to unveil a new holiday shipping AAA title in order to fill the gap for UC4, but I applaud the fact that they allowed ND to make the delay. In reality, even w/o the delay, if they shipped it as is in time for the holidays, knowing ND, it would still be a great game, it just might not hit that gold standard that they aspire for & achieve in every title. On the adverse, if there's any game on MS' docket that should be ...
It's a bit of a different situation than your standard job application though. This guy could go on to be the next Notch for all we or Microsoft knows. This comes after the statement that keeps getting pushed around by Microsoft for devs to "come talk to us" in order to clarify their parity clause so for them to just straight up ignore someone whose title was obviously good enough for Sony to accept is pretty backwards. The article said it very well:
"On a ...
I personally wonder how much stock that idea of purchasing timed exclusive rights for RotTR to compete w/ Uncharted held when Spencer mentioned it. If it was the driving force behind why they spent the money, would that mean that they would potentially delay it into 2016 as well in order to actually compete w/ UC4? Halo alone would make for a huge holiday for an Xbox owner or MS fan it would seem so it's not like they'd be hurting for it in the time frame. Also, the turnaround between...
Actually aside from maybe the first (not sure on that one), Naughty Dog had a habit of always hitting their release dates. I know UC2 & 3 came on schedule, TLOU was the first ND title to get delayed, although if I remember correctly, the first UC might have seen a delay? It's a shame because I love that holiday window for the Uncharted series, it just fits so well, and there's a lot more free time to replay it 2 or 3 or 12 times back to back. I personally am waiting for a UC colle...
Were you incentivized or kinda forced to harass people about add-ons? I worked at Sam Goody back when record stores still existed & I put my foot down on forcing people to buy loyalty cards they wouldn't benefit from, aside from the fact that I was generally horrible at it when I did try, and they let me work the floor & break down the trucks. Always been a big music fan & I could catalog all of the records by name & genre by a quick glance at the cover so I put out the st...
The campaign is the only draw for me. Visceral games developed Dead Space last gen & they are saying this campaign is structured like a procedural cop show, they specifically mentioned the show Justified as a major influence. It'll be 10 chapters and a prologue, each chapter designed as an episode of a "show". If those chapters are a minimum of an hour, we could be in for a great 10+ hour campaign that'll outshine the mp in a lot of ways. I'll wait for reviews to see...
I'm a huge Sony fan, always have been, absolutely love every console they've released, but this delay is a bit of a blow for me personally. Uncharted is my bread & butter, I'm a huge fan of tps action adventure titles & for my tastes there's not much coming in the holidays as of yet that would be a day one buy for me. Makes the Rise of the Tomb Raider timed exclusive deal all the more bitter, I'd have loved to kill time waiting for UC by playing TR but now there...
I haven't heard of all of those studios, but I'm pretty sure a few of them were rumored or confirmed to be working on Hololens games, "unannounced" studios are exactly that so its hard to bank on an unknown, unproven potential dev, & Double Fine aren't first party Microsoft devs last I checked. If you are going solely off of first party studios that have actually released full games in the past there really is no comparison. Hopefully MS is working to rectify this as...
I've been saying this as long as people have been assuming that it'll release this year. Remedy takes their time to make the best game possible & the idea that this game would've released this year was always pretty far fetched when factoring in all of the components of the game. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it misses the early 2016 frame either. I'd say this game will drop either Summer or Fall 2016, it'll be a great title for MS to have in their back pocke...
They did make a multiplat, it was called Fuse....it didn't benefit gamers or Insomniac at all.
I understand the feelings behind your sentiment but you may need a little perspective. There have been conclusive statements that have definitively proven that texting & driving is actually worse than drinking & driving, so going by your logic, should anyone who has ever texted while behind the wheel receive the death penalty as well? Both make choices, is one any worse than the other simply because it hasn't been around long enough for people to properly understand the significan...
4k is inevitable, it's an iteration, not an innovation. Iterations might take time but they always happen, that'd be like living in the era of 720p tv's & saying that 1080p will never happen. VR might also take time, but I don't see how it won't have a decent market in a few years time. I know I'm personally interested in the potential.
Wasn't this also coming to ps4? If not that's a shame, I was really digging the idea behind this one
I would click to watch this video on High settings but I don't know if I'd be able to tell the difference....not sure why they even give the option. /s
