That is definitely one of the worst business decisions I have yet to hear for this generation of gaming. Putting it on the PS3 is money on the table.
"Link of heart" really translates to "Microsoft paid us a lot" for anyone with a lack of comprehension. I'm so glad Microsoft is still deciding to alienate gamers and potential customers. I wonder why I haven't purchased an Xbox 360 yet.
We all know it will work. We've already seen a good deal of what it can do based on the Playstation Eye's performance. Everyone just has to wait for that first 'hardcore' game that is built around the tech and not the other way around.
I had thought that the Getaway franchise had a lot of fans. Seem weird that Sony would cancel its development. Eight Days also looked very promising in terms of visuals and cover mechanics.
The kids will definitely love Eye Pet though.
Yeah. Even if this were to be true, which I heavily doubt, they just lost a sale.
There's a reason I don't have an Xbox 360 or will ever intend to purchase one.
A Trophy patch is something I would appreciate (but don't really need) but I won't bring up Metal Gear Online until they decide to drop the whole Konami ID debacle. Which they won't.
If you don't understand what is going on in MGS 4, then you obviously need to go back and start with MGS 1. The point of the MGS Database was for those people who had never gotten into he series or are long time fans trying to brush up on the MGS universe.
Also, if you don't understand the plot after one play through, go ahead and pick up your sticks for round two. God forbid that you play a game more than once.
I'm just going to straight up disagree with the "...
Here's the deal. If you haven't played every Metal Gear Solid game, understood the entirety of the plotline(s), then you have no business in criticizing the writing, much less the game(s).
I am a huge MGS fan and have loved the deep and thought provoking plot that has been crafted for such a classic video game series. However...
Even I have to admit that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots should have toned down the cut scenes and raised the amount of gamepl...
Aren't most of those Trophies more or less just playing the game? Like the requirements are:
Get 250 Assault Rifle kills
Get 15% Accuracy in one match
Kill so many people, etc;
Anyway, I try to have fun on Confrontation but it's just kind of frustrating to even load up. I just wish Slant Six had done a better job of it.
Some of those are pretty good to be on that list, but I don't think the author took enough time to compare every single Trophy from every game.
I really think "Flying the Co-op" from GTA IV should have been up there, considering that the PS3 version was coded 'lazily'. What I mean by that is you have to remain in the same party, with the same people, cannot get disconnected, and most importantly: You have to do all three levels in one sitting unlike the Xbox 360/PC ver...
NXE is probably the most overhyped firmware update ever. Fantastic marketing from Microsoft by giving it a name though.
The only thing I dislike about the NXE (it's hard to mess up an interface) is that when you scroll left to right it looks like you can only go right because the previous 'panel' is now hidden off screen. Insignificant but I find it irritating.
Here's an idea:
-80 GB Playstation 3
-Voucher for Final Fantasy VII
-Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete (Bluray)
If that isn't a bribe, then I don't know what is.
In all seriousness, what is preventing Valve from just updating the first game? The 'improvements' onto L4D 2 that we know about aren't that large and could be done in a mild update.
For instance, I'm not going to buy this game until it's <= $15 considering that I just bought L4D through Steam (the superior version). For those of you stating that this petition has no affect whatsoever on Valve's decision process, you couldn't be more wrong.
As someone mentioned...
I don't know what the limitations are for the XBLM downloadable games (non-retail games) but on the Playstation 3 you can download a title up to four or five times on any Playstation 3 (i.e. it isn't attached to an individual Account. Every Account can access the game that is now on the HDD).
So if you got bored with the digital copy you could 'give' the game to a friend or someone you know while also keeping the title for future indulgences.
Matter of perspective I...
Disagrees on a factual statement that can be proven easily? Why am I not surprised.
Note how the OP never stated that Sony was delivering titles consistently. He/she stated that Sony has been doing it since the Playstation 3's launch, which is correct.
This doesn't make the feature any less cool but I find it kind of funny that a lot of 'news' sources and fans treat this as if Microsoft is going to be the first to successfully deliver full games on home entertainment consoles.
Warhawk? Socom: Confrontation? Burnout Paradise? Anyway, Sony would be foolish to not expand upon what they started.
Oh, and when this feature does arrive on the Xbox 360 make sure to look for $39.99 as the highest price. If it isn't, and ...
Can anyone even confirm that 'Project Natal' has been touted has having 1:1 tracking? Last time I checked it did not.
And make sure to give me a legitimate source. Thanks.
How about getting rid of the subscription fee in order to play my $64.20 game online? No? Guess I'll be waiting for the Xbox 720 then.
@ no-spin
I don't think the Wii is quite 1:1 even with the Motion Plus peripheral. Someone prove me right or wrong.
You understand that Microsoft is paying them to do this 'exclusivity'... right?
Splinter Cell has never been felt as belonging more to one console than the other. Even with the PS2's more vast popularity than the Xbox, it is/was seen as a multiplatform game all around. It doesn't 'belong' to Xbox 360.
