mine didn't take that long to install. the disc itself installed the game quickly, it was the update that came after which took about an hour to download and install that delayed me. Dumb article.
Sony have shown they have consistently listened to the customer. So have Microsoft. they have to, as money talks and it is us who spends the money. They will cater for the mass, adding features that people want and removing features that are detriment to their business model. What a stupid article.
No, consider that for an enterprise SQL server licence, you are talking the best part of $15k per core, and most enterprise SQL servers will have around 8 cores, you are talking $120k for a single SQL Server. Consider then that if Enterprise is being used, likely some sort of resilience will be utilised in order to make most of the enterprise features, so lets double that, or even triple that for a 3 server setup. you are now talking $360k. So for three SQL servers you are talking 360 grand, ...
Windows, or should i say the systems that run on it, specifically SQL, make Microsoft much more money than Xbox.
SQL is Microsoft's biggest earner by a long shot. It is because of things like SQL that Xbox can be funded
the problem is that unless we stop buying the DLC, publishers like EA will continue to use this method of milking us gamers for all our cash. Such a shame, as this game could have been awesome.
I can't wait for this game. Was very impressed, and its one of many diverse games coming to the Playstation.
As A wii U owner, I would rather see nintendo become more competitive with a new console, rather than persevere with a piece of Hardware that is losing popularity with each passing day. If i can still play my wii u games on the NX, i will be happy
Disappointing to see that this game isn't shaping up to what I hoped it would. Hopefully there will be some improvement between now and its release.
I thought this game was a great improvement over its predecessors.
I am ;-). The reason why I used the word Booty is because that is what the Ubisoft rep referred to it as. From my hands-on, I think this game will totally live up to the hype, and then some. This was Ubisoft's strongest showing at EGX by miles
I think you all have agreed with my main point from the article. The game only succeeds when your are in a team with people with mics and willing to work together. When this occurs, the game can work well. When this doesn't occur, the game is poor.
Are u a gamer or a fanboy? Genuine gamers need a successful Nintendo console, it encourages healthy competition and caters gaming genres that are in short supply on xbox and playstation. When u grow up you will realise this 😉
There is plenty in nintendos locker to have a host of fantastic lineup
PC gamers can't necessarily afford to buy a VR headset anymore than anyone else, i just think they are likely to spend what money they do have on a VR headset as this is a mindset they are already in to have built a gaming PC in the first place.
The issue here is that if the best gaming experiences are to be had are on VR, then those who can't afford to spend in the region of £800-£1000 for a total package that includes the host hardware and the VR hardware...
I think this is inevitable. The problem you may find though is how do people justify upgrading their current VR hardware when a new one comes out? This is easy for something like Playstation VR, as that bit of hardware will be updated upon the next release of a Sony console, but how will it work for say oculus? If oculus headsets gradually come down in price to become affordable, how can they maintain this when oculus 2 comes out? this is the issue with the smartphone industry.
I agree on that. The video game market as a whole is finding new ways to exploit dedicated gamers. The annual passes for games to get access to DLC, that once upon a time would have been included in the full release of the game in the first place, is disgusting. I just hope VR doesn't go down the same route, where we start paying for more and more in order to get a complete experience.
I think you have missed the point of the article all together. I know the author personally, and he isn't in a position where he couldn't afford VR hardware. He is highlighting that most gamers, who have homes and families to support, have tough choices to make. Do they spend an extra £400 on VR, alongside their already expensive games console or gaming PC, or do they spend that money on something they and their families would benefit more from. A TV is something the whole family...
And just like team rocket they were thwarted! On a serious note though, wtf is going on in this world!
Same here. very cool concept.
I think the game is great. Most of my friends pre ordered the game after the BETA. the suggests it wasn't hype that sold the game to them, but because they enjoyed playing a portion of the game and thought it worth investing in the rest. Obviously you don't like the game, never played it, or just have some sort of hate for ubisoft.
