That's a very good point you made about how the RROD lead to additional sells due to replacement. That's exactly what happened to me.

Look at it this way. As long as you have a working system you can always pop a SP and play. MP only literally has a shelf-life meaning it's a hot item for a year or so and then no or wants to play it anymore and if you still do you're ass.
Strider looks classic, the rest of these games look meh!
It depends on the artistic style when comparing two games. For instance Ryse and Killzone SF both look incredible in their own right but in my opinion as an artist they cannot be compared because one approaches photo-realism and the other is a Sci-Fi fantasy game. I think the new Infamous makes a damn good attempt at photo-realism and I would like to see that comparison once Infamous releases.
Side note: For all the progress made graphically, Ryse had horrible gameplay.
All of this timed exclusive stuff really just hurts the fans in the end. I don't like it one bit.
I'm not a huge fan of on-line multiplayer (albeit I loved Unchartered 2), however since Sony decided to make folks pay for PS Plus just to play on-line then maybe they should considered creating more on-line experiences in their games. Sony isn't perfect but now their two most anticipated games have no on-line. Not good in terms of competition. I prefer PS4 but Titan Fall on the X1 alone is about to kick their ass in sells for this very reason. Write it down or take a picture Of this ...
Better looking equals better game when speaking about the same game. Are you implying that Titan Fall will not be a better game on the X1 then it will on the 360?

Why is Pachter under the assumption that these publishers aren't being compensated by Sony. Hell we don't even know how much Sony will charge for the service. I'm sure the publishers will allow their games to be released after 18 months or so. Rarely do games sell well beyond 3 months.
Well IGN stated that they actually played and beat it so I will take their word for it.
This should be a question for developers not folks on N4G. Ask the developers how important it is.
I think part 2 and Brother Hood were the best in that order.
It's probably best not to buy this at $40. In sure there will be a bundle deal for this once the Phantom Pain drops.

I couldn't agree with you more. Skype, Netflix, etc was working just fine with my sources long before these systems dropped. If multimedia is what you seek it makes more sense to stick with last gen because they did it right. Especially the PS3 without the paywall.
The PS4 is dope but c'mon it's not perfect. Anyone who gets it would be pleased more so than not, but a 5/5 is misleading. Realistically it can be better basedon what the PS3 already did that it can't right now. Not having 3D BluRay playback is enough alone to make it less than perfect.
Actually articles like these are a good thing because trust MS is seeing this and taking note. The Internet is a powerful tool and these companies must come prepared to listen. I believe everything that he talked about can and will be fixed except for the resolution on multiplat games. MS will succeed in their exclusives but the multiplat differences likely will remain as there is no incentive for these developers to put in the extra work to bring the XOne version up to the PS4 level.
