Lol. The fact that the Raiden image was featured in the Japanese PS3/PSP magazine that interviewed Kojima should have tipped fanboys off that the game was coming to the PS3....
Added to that, MS's sly mention that the title was not an exclusive, the "Gamespress" leak, and the Konami reps refusal to answer should have sealed the deal.
I'm personally shocked that people still believe the title is an exclusive and that fanboys are still getting their panties ...
Could be cool, but we'll have to see how well it is implemented. Now, if MS had spent more money on acquiring good first party developers instead of acquiring timed exclusives (some lasting three months!?) we could actually get a pretty fast influx of games that utilize this.
I assume it will be a MGS4 prequel which will tie into the title. However, it will be lighter on story which would make it accessible as a both a PS3 and 360 title with little to know prior knowledge necessary.
He's probably not thrilled at having to waste extra resources developing a multiplatform title. He'd rather work on one platform and use the extra team that would have worked on the other platform on a different game. To be honest, the decision to make MGS: Rising multiplat was probably corporate.
? MGS: Rising is a PS3 game as well. There is so much evidence up the wazoo for this and yet people still think it is a 360 exclusive. Jesus christ. It is multiplatform. Why the hate?
-edit- Phantom disagrees are stupid. Seriously, there is so much evidence that it will bite you on the ass.
Sigh. Of course it isn't exclusive. The fricking Raiden image for the teaser was present in the PS3/PSP Magazine that interviewed Kojima! So if the game is indeed 360 exclusive, they would not mention said game in the magazine. Some sites really need to stop jumping the gun on these things (ahem IGN).
The game will be announced for the PS3 tomorrow along with the PSP MGS game and some sort of connectivity will probably be announced as well. This is the reason for the delay in th...
We knew this hours ago. However, my guess as to why Konami isn't announcing MGS:R on the PS3 yet? There is some kind of connectivity between Peace Walker and MGS:R on the PS3 which means that Kojima wants to announce the pair together.
There is a reason Konami is not commenting. They want to announce these things at their own pace. If they were to say it were coming to the PS3 now, it would take the thunder out of a Kojima announcement at the Sony or Konami Presser where they will announce such things.
I thought it was obvious, judging from the way MS announced the title. Anyways, I'm assuming we'll also get an announcement for the Big Boss title at Sony's conference as well (PSP game?). Though I was disappointed by the "teaser". What the hell is the game gonna be like? Full blown action title ala Devil May Cry is the only real viable game for a character like Raiden.
Rolls eyes. I'm just amazed that so many people thought it was real. Sigh.
Lol. It wasn't a Windows logo. It was the MGS exclamation mark, which could look like part of the Window's logo I suppose.
Exactly. Last Remnant mediocre. Infinite Undiscovery mediocre. Star Ocean Last Hope mediocre. Hell, their only good games these past three years have been on the DS and PSP! The World Ends With You and FFVII Crisis Core are excellent, but nowhere near scratching that JRPG itch for S-E fans.
Lol. Announcing games is one thing, actually releasing them is something completely different. FFXIII was announced three years ago and has yet to come out. S-E will still be full of fail if they don't release these games for another three years.
My guess to these games though? New IPs, Front Mission, or that action game shovelware title. Anything Final Fantasy related (new games and NOT a port) would be announced in Japan, where S-E seems to give the most sh!t.
Lol. Didn't Kotaku or some other site say that S-E was going to not send anyone due to Swine Flu fears? So I guess no presence then!
Meh, seems to be shovelware. If this is being developed internally at Square, then they are idiots. Especially since FFXIII and Versus have yet to be released.
Well, it's coming to the PS3 in Japan THIS year. And they are localizing the game as we speak for the U.S. So some delay must be granted to the fact that S-E are trying to publish a multiplat title in the U.S. when it has been shown that S-E doesn't have the knowhow to do this in a timely manner (Last Remnant). Of course, if you just learn Japanese, then you have no reason to complain as you can play the game THIS year (provided you own a PS3).
Showing at E3? Guess they are going to demo the PS3 version. Still pissed that they aren't gonna give us a demo (because how the hell are you gonna offer a 5gb demo?).
May be even later if the rumor of a JP delay is true. 2011 could even be plausible.
Sigh. You are an idiot. This is the exact same engine that ran the game last year. So no, no "bait and switch" (especially since the footage from last year was a freaking demo on the PS3). All the effects and bells and whistles are still there. It's just that the character model for Jayden is not as well designed as that of the reporter from last year. It looks very awkward and is unpleasant. Hopefully they fix that. The black guy looks fine though.
Maybe, but we will most likely find out at Konami's presser on Wednesday as Sony generally doesn't dedicate time on multiplatform titles at their conferences. That is why all the demos are at MS's conference.
