While I pretty much try to avoid saying anything positive about Gamestop, I'll admit that this prediction is MUCH better than the one they had last year saying that Nintendo was holding back supply just to ensure that they come up big on next year's financial report, and that there should be plenty of Wii's to go around in April for the new fiscal year:

I think the false demand is a result of Nintendo not having been able to meet real demand given the company's production capability. No one, not even Nintendo, thought the Wii would be in such high demand and given the fact that Nintendo overproduced the Gamecube, the company leaned toward more conservative production goals for the Wii from the beginning.
As we have seen, Nintendo quickly sells every unit it produces, which piques consumer interest because ppl know that product ...
Zack and Wiki = most underrated game of 2007
Foreal, I got excited about this after seeing a video of the gameplay, and it seems that my excitement was well-warranted. Good stuff.
I feel like ppl who want to do away w/ Mario and Sonic fail to realize that these two icons have the ability to bring new ppl to the world of gaming and therefore grow the industry. Retiring Mario and Sonic would do more harm than good in my opinion.
A lot of ppl say it's sad that Mario sells more than "hardcore" titles like COD4, and a lot of these statements come w/ an air of condescension. If you feel like you're too bad-ass to play Mario games, then instead of clo...
Gimme Mario Paint Wii already.
I agree. Unfortunately I think the game has changed so much that Ivanisevic by today's standards would be considered to have a fairly normal serve even though for his time, it was one of the fastest (being lefty helped a lot tho too). I want to be able to replay the Federer/Sampras match =)
Have the other consoles already been released in Korea?
#6 is totally unfounded. How does Mr. Cipriano know for a fact that this feature doesn't exist? Metroid Prime 3 detects what save files you have for certain games and puts decals of these games on Samus' ship, so it's entirely possible that Nintendo has put in similar features for SSBB.

It makes sense. Chances are slim that anyone who reviews games for a living is a casual gamer, and these reviewers are therefore stuck reviewing games not intended for the audience that they belong to.
Nintendo stopped w/ the stringent quality control when they saw the success of the PS1 and PS2, for which there were some high-quality titles amongst a multitude of low-quality ones. The Wii is not the 1st console to experience this situation.
Lookin forward to that Crystal Chronicles WiiWare title.
Well the predominant view regarding the graphics of SSBB is that they are an improvement over the previous installment, regardless of whatever the graphical standards of today may be. I think the numerous control schemes that the game allows for addresses both any control issues as well as whether the game takes advantage of the Wii remote. Inevitably because the game is part of a series, it retains some gameplay characteristics found in its predecessors just like most sequels.

ROFL, your username makes your comment great.
I think more ppl are psyched about SSBB because it is the type of game that appeals to a broader demographic and the series is fairly unique gameplay-wise.
The mass-appeal has a lot to do w/ brand-recognition - an advantage Nintendo has over its competitors given its long history in the industry. With Mario's appearance in a long line of quality titles, "casual" gamers may be psyched about SSBB simply because it has Mario in it. Avid gamers, on the other hand, are psy...
Ppl have different tastes and opinions. I personally was never hyped about Halo 3, Assassin's Creed, or WiiFit, but Advance Wars: DoR, LittleBigPlanet, and SSBB are big deals to me.
Marketing speak.
EU gets the Commodore 64 as a VC exclusive for now, US has no VC-exclusive console ='(
Considering that Metroid Prime 3 had the best FPS console controls that I've ever experienced personally, I'd say this is pretty cool.
