Shacknews' use of the word "defects" in the title makes it seem like all employees of these companies are fanboys or something. Professionals change employers within the same industry all the time.
Ya I can see how knowing whether ppl are using component cables or not would be useful to Nintendo, but sensor bar placement info is still kinda puzzling.

As of now, PES is the superior soccer franchise on the Wii. Hopefully EA steps up to compete w/ the next FIFA.
This is huge if you have a DS. It's not just 1st-party titles that have demos; Ninja Gaiden DS has a downloadble demo so I'm playing that next (I just downloaded and played the Crossword game demo).
You're feeling high and mighty about walking? I've never played DDR but I know through observation that it can elevate one's heartrate to a much higher level than the max attained by simply walking at 3.5 mph. It's about intensity, which is why I myself prefer to do interval training instead of jogging when I work out.
Recent statistics have shown that the Wii has a very healthy attach rate and that other than in Japan, 3rd-party Wii game sales are comparable to sales of 1st-party titles.

I misunderstood your first post I believe. I thought you meant that Nintendo and only Nintendo deserves praise, but now I realize that what you really meant is that all the praise Nintendo is getting is well-deserved and in that, I agree.
DDR can be much more physically-demanding than taking a walk.
One could argue that the last 3 of those are subjective but I agree with you that Nintendo doesn't deserve all the praise. I give Nintendo praise for expanding the gaming market, keeping gaming affordable, and once again introducing a new way to play games. I give praise to Sony and MS for expediting mainstream adoption of HD content, stretching the bounds of consoles beyond just gaming machines, and making online interaction an important aspect of gaming.

I downloaded the demo for this game through the Wii's new Nintendo Channel and I like ita lot. It's obviously not for everyone's taste but it could definitely keep me busy for hours.
