I do not agree with this article...gamers and journalists fuel the hype train. Mafia II is not as good as it should have been, but each gamers sets their own expectation for a game. Not every game will be epic...it's impossible logistically.
Games cost money to make and when you have to scrap a build, that chews most of your budget...this should not have been a surprise to anyone that calls them self a hardcore gamer (or played the demo)

I do agree with their overall score though, definitely feels like a 7-8/10 is justified...
The score doesn't bother me....what does is the fact that him staring at the wall while answering the phone was factored into said score.
I guess I'm not understanding what you wanted him to do...it's the 40's, the phone is connected to the wall and phone console. It's not like he could do jumping jacks or cook some eggs.
This review...similar to most reviews recently from IGN are very poorly written and are lacking any actual substance....

As much as I love the internet....this is why I hate social networking and the fact that anyone can have a blog.
They have completely broken this game for me....they remapped all of the pre-snap audibles to the joypad. They went back to a 3 click kick meter and every time I pick a play some A**hole is trying to tell me how to run it. I'm okay with the elimination of turbo...but the rest is garbage.
I've played football for 15 years and Madden for 10 years....I don't need someone to tell me how to run a HB Dive. I understand they want to cater to the new casual gamer but dumb...
I don't care if they make 30 AAA games a year....if they don't bring back true zombies to the series....I won't buy a single one of them
The only problem that I have with the 4GB model is the same thing I have with all 360 and PS3 models...you don't actually have that much usable space. If I'm not mistaken the operating system will chew about 2GB of that space.
I feel like they should have to advertise the "actual" usable space somewhere on the box. I install all of my games to the HDD, reduces noise and strain on the system...when you're installing games like Star Ocean and Lost Odyssey ...
