@mozzie that's what I'm hearing about the game. It's a shame more people didn't give it a go. I hope that it sell enough on PS, when it finally releases, to warrant another TR game! But who knows, maybe they've already made their money back with the timed exclusivity deal with MS.
Xbox One... the real Steam Machine? haha... seems kinda weird to go PC to Console, usually goes console to PC. Especially for all the extra graphically goodies PC guys love!

If there is one thing, no the only thing, MS/Xbox is good at it's marketing the hell out of something. The Ad agency they use is very good! They really know how to hype gamers up!
When has spec's ever been the thing that kept Dev's from Nintendo? Wasn't some of the reasons why Dev's stayed away from some Nintendo consoles was because of how they were treated in the past? Also the whole thing about how 3rd party games don't sell every well on Nintendo console?
Cause those people are ballin and will be dropping the 3G's for the Dev kits... you know, just to mess around with it. Hang around the internet long enough and you'll find a person(s) that will take a other side of almost any argument.
@S2Killinit Good point, but it seems like a lot of people only really care about what's coming out during the holiday season, which is an important one, than the rest of the year.
As far as I can tell it doesn't matter if you had exclusives throughout the year, holidays! Does it suck that Sony really doesn't have an "exclusive" holiday line up? You damn right, as a PS4 owner I want something to play this holiday season.. I'll probably be picking up ...
@OpieWinston Yes, they "could" increase the FOV for the consumer version but then that would make the consumer version even more expensive than a commercial use version... and it's usually the other way around. The FOV is the way it is because tech hasn't caught up yet. They need to pack more power into the head set but current size/power prices are a bit high. Could they fit higher price smaller chips into that thing? No doubt, but then it would no longer be a viable mass m...
@The_Infected that's the thing, price point and FOV. I'm honestly more interested in AR than I am VR only because I think AR has the potential for everyday outside use!!! But like you said, price point and that FOV, especially that FOV really kills it. You can't really say that i'll turn every room in your house into a new level... 75% of my FOV is still filled with my house!
My hope is that other companies get in on the AR headset as well, competition breeds ...
@Ravenor hahaha... I'm gonna have to agree to an extent. I'm a Playstation guy, have been since I left Nintendo, I don't ever give Sony a pass when they F'up. None of these companies should get a pass for when the F'up. It's cringe worthy when I see a PS fan gush over how "great" Sony/PS and give them passes on their BS... When I see those/these types of post it's almost like the poster is trying to convince themselves of their purchase/loyalty.

I would only agree with your statement about God of War if every game aged exactly the same... but unfortunately some games age much worse than others. One of the most beloved games ever, FF7, hasn't aged very well at all. It's ridiculous to think every game will age well. And TBH Giantbomb is usually pretty tough when it comes to reviews.
Here's the deal, Latst year is playing out much like this year: Sony had a steady amount of releases brought the year, front loaded from what I remember, then seemed to have a lot less at the end of the year. MS had a lot of releases at the end of the year but a lot less at the beginning and middle. Seems like their strategies a complete opposite or so it seems... short-term memory much? Unfortunately it seems some gamers don't respect game creators. I think people forget that a bunch of individual game creators make up those large organizations. If they had the chance and could make a living doing it, they would all go indie. I think lazy is one of the last things you can call a dev/creator. If it were that easy we would all make our own games!
The FOV does kill it, hard! I'm so ready for a wearable like MS shows in their videos... but I don't think the tech & $ match up right now. I think it would just be way to expensive to give us what they're showing in their videos.

if you're implying that in just 2 weeks the MS team has developed screen tech that surpasses what OR is doing... why would they have even penned that deal? If they're able to surpass the screen tech in 2 weeks imagine what they could do in a month?

I think this game is further along than most people think. They already have an engine, They have assets that already exist (Advent Children, FF7 teaser from PS3, CG from Crisis Core). Of course they can't just take those straight, they've gotta tweak them here and there and some completely change but the base is there.
