I never even finished the game. I loved it, but after so many hours (I didn't even get into the main quest that much) I needed to take a break. And I haven't been back yet. I need a lull of good games....it may be a while (=
Most people won't have a PS3 by then anyway. If you want to play Oblivion that bad, buy the 360. Get Gears of War while you're at it.
But if you do wait for the PS3, I'd recommend Oblivion. I got like 80 hours of play out of it.
I'm sorry, I was playing Gears of War...were you saying something?
Japan has a population half the size of the US, but have 80,000 units to divvy up. Even I, a stupid 360 owner, can do the math. And the math says stay home.
I don't know, I wasn't feeling that much enthusiasm out of this interview. They enjoyed it, but felt it was treading old familiar paths.
Gears of War is a system seller, to be sure. And if you own a 360, this game will be in your library.
But the bottom line is that the consoles that will sell are the consoles in stock...and that's the 360 and, to a lesser extent, the Wii.
I got my GOW yesterday without a pre-order...why would you pre-order a game?
That keyboard was first seen prior to the Xbox 360's release, some press conference at Barcelona. I was wondering what had happened to it.
Why bother to respond if this is what you come up with?
Doing a disservice to people who bought the Core system? They paid for a game console, they got a game console. No disservice there. And they can upgrade if they choose, it's not like they're permanently banished.
For a high-def movie experience, I think this is a brilliant idea. I don't have to buy new hardware and I can still enjoy a high-def movie rental. Sweet.
I was originally going to rent this game first, but after all the reviews I knew this was a purchase. Walked into Gamestop, walked out with Gears. Why do people pre-order games, anyway?
Anyway, been playing for an hour or so...suh-weet. The controls take a little getting used to; I'm not that familiar with the weapons yet; but the battles are pretty tense, even on the casual setting. These things don't just hide behind a rock and shoot at you, they come over the rock and ch...
Why? Because words failed him. He could explain what he thought were the flaws, but in trying to explain how cool the game was, it was like he hit a wall...like it's something you have to experience.
I cannot wait to play it!

This guy is so right, but I never thought about it like this. I've owned all the consoles, and the game that keeps me coming back again and again is Halo. I'll even play the original once in a while, but Halo 2 gets popped into my console all the time.
I'm glad they're happy with what they're seeing, I can't wait for this to be out! ...
I can't stand it. Playing Uno I've had to look at obnoxious screaming kids, a guy showing his nipple to a girl player (now you show me yours), and other instances...cripes.
Unless they're on your friends list, the camera function should be disabled.
Heat-sensing buttons? What about the zombies and undead? If they don't get to play they'll go on a brains-eating rampage!
Seriously, a power button is not something to spend extra cash on. And repairing it will suck.
Are they going with 8 functional SPE's? I thought they were shooting for seven so that they would increase the percentage of viable chips....and that one SPE was going to be solely for the OS.
I'm thinking this is not current.
The game is already in some people's hands, no need to speculate. I'm interested in how fast it loads cached vs. uncached, and how long it will take to install...but someone's hypothetical opinion isn't worth much.
Oh, especially when everyone else rips on him for posting on the wrong message board.
Sony may end up with the largest percentage of consoles sold, but in my mind Sony has already lost, simply because this question is being asked.
Personally I think that's a good thing. I'd rather have a competitive marketplace.
Apparently some of this stuff is available in-game, so you're buying something you get anyway. So it's a cheat, something that used to be unlocked by a code for free. In other words, you're not even downloading anything, it's already on the game disc waiting to be unlocked.
To EA's credit, it does say that in the description of the item on the marketplace. But that's not worth much credit. EA has to understand they're going to lose consumers with this crap.
Extra content is something released after the game comes out, not when the game comes out. Updates should be used to keep a game fresh and playable.
Tiger Woods is a good example. I know in my heart they held back golf courses to release later.
...that the hd-dvd was region free, and Blu-Ray isn't. That's a nice feature.
I am so looking forward to this game. I really need something to counterbalance my Gears of War addiction. Too much blood/guts, I need some sugar in my diet.
P.S. Cheers, fellow kiwi!
