As soon as Amazon has more in stock I'll be getting mine. The scalpers and price gougers are awful. I saw someone trying to sell a Switch for 700 dollars on Amazon. Seriously, what ignorant fool would let someone take advantage of them like that? I have Zelda(WiiU) but I've intentionally not put much time into it as I'd rather play it on the Switch. Great game though.
True, but print magazines are becoming a thing of the past. The only reason GameInformer is still relevant is because they bundle it with a gamestop subscription. You may very well be right though, it does reach millions of people.
After Andy McNarmas article in GameInformer about how he was disappointed in Sony and ND for "Playing it safe and announcing TLOU2" I'm surprised ND gave them the cover story.
I'm 40 hours in (so close to my platinum trophy) and only had the game crash once. No bugs, no glitches, no slowdown. I'm very impressed that a dev team with no prior history of making open world RPGs has managed to make the most consistent and technically sound open world RPG I've ever played.
Horizon looks way better Big Game Hunter there's no way of disputing that. And Zelda wasn't designed to take advantage of 4k so saying it can run at actual 4k is like saying you can watch a DVD in 4k. If you emulate it to PC that's completely different. Horizon is the only game of the two that out of the box takes advantage of a 4k display. You lost the argument as soon as you said "IF" you have this and this and do that and that.
Plenty of PlayStation exclusives haven't reviewed well so I don't know what your talking about. I bought Zelda(WiiU) and I have 30 hours in Horizon Zero Dawn. Having played both I can say that reviewers complained that Horizon didn't reinvent the genre and gave Zelda a free pass on the same issues. Add to that the fact that Horizon is far more technically advanced, and I'd argue that their respective metascores should be flip flopped. Both games are great in my opinion, but th...
It has a lot of talking but it's gameplay loop is very similar to Far Cry. Imagine if Far Cry and The Witcher had a little redheaded baby, and that baby ran around fighting robot dinosaurs, that's what Horizon is like. If you like Far Cry I'd say give it a shot. You wont be disappointed.
Oh my gawd The Proving was incredible. If you think it's better than TLOU just wait until The Proving...It literally made my jaw drop.
Amazon is preparing my Collectors Edition :( I want mine.... I order exclusively from Amazon and never get games early, I must be the unluckiest guy.
Most open world games don't have full destructabilty or enterable buildings
I don't feel like I even did very many side quests, and I still ended up putting 180 hours in TW3. Its one of those games where it's really easy to get sidetracked....lol
Yeah, Colin saying it's just behind The Last of Us as the best first party PlayStation exclusive ever released really impressed me. These next few days are going to be torture. I agree completely btw, the game is already unique in it's setting and creatures. If it plays like Far Cry mixed with Tomb Raider I'll be more than satisfied.
I'll probably platinum Horizon Zero Dawn on my first playthrough then come back to it this Summer or before then if DLC drops. From listening to kinda funny games the platinum shouldn't take more than 50-60 hours, not bad for an open world action RPG.
Agreed, but Greg and Colin have always been independent thinkers. Also Jim Sterling and a big chunk of the reviews on metacritic talk about how great the sci fi narrative is as well.
No it's not. If Halo 5 would've got a 5/10 it would've been BS as well. I hated Halo 5s story and how it made Cortana a villian, but every other part of that game lifted it above it's narrative flaws. The big difference here is that this isn't one of many bad scores it is the SINGLE bad score. Written by an assistant reviews editor with no experience reviewing games. If I don't perform my job to the best of my ability my boss is gonna let me know. She gets paid to do t...
Go to metacritic or watch kinda funny games on YouTube, there are scores of journalists praising the games narrative and side quests. Colin Moriarty said it's story was right behind TLOU quality wise.
Yeah Jim can be pretty harsh sometimes but you always understand where he's coming from. I tend to listen to Greg and Colin on kinda funny as their tastes seem to align with mine, and Colin literally said this game is right behind TLOU as the best PlayStation exclusive game he's played. I just don't understand how games like Skyrim on PS3(which I enjoyed) get 9-10 review scores even though they're buggy and a game like Horizon Zero Dawn gets a 5? I really hope GG doesn't l...
Yeah, the proper term would be "leaked by early users."
Funny thing is all the info thisgengaming is posting(and these screenshots) are from Neogaf. You could get a lot more screenshots and info by just visiting the spoiler free thread on Gaf and seeing what early users are saying. I've read the threads and every early user has been very impressed with just abought everything they've played.
I bought it on the WiiU for my son. The WiiU is in his bedroom and the Switch will be in my gameroom or on the go. As the parent of a gamer sometimes you have to buy the same game twice.
