COD has always been a fast paced set piece style twitch based shooter. What exactly are you talking about when you say a return to the old form of the series? I'm not some new gen ADHD kid either, I'm in my 30s and played the original PC release and can most definitely see the way WW2 tries to get the magic back thats been missing for nearly a decade. Obviously though the style does work, I'm not saying its 10/10 quality, but have you seen the sales? Its not kids only buying COD i...
They need to patch out some bugs and glitches, and fix their servers....BUT, I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I'm enjoying this COD. The campaign was good(to short though),Nazi Zombies are awesome, and the new War mode is fantastic. People hate on Call of Duty no matter what it does. You want boots on the ground, you got it. Next thing people will complain about is there isn't enough manueverability.
Dead Space 1 was a masterpiece, 2 was good, but I couldn't even finish 3 because I was so disappointed. I still remember all the beginning letters of each chapter in Dead Space 1 spelled out "Rachel Is Dead" or something like that. Awesome game.
@Chocoburger You ever heard of RPGs? Grinding is something that is part of the core gameplay in games like RuneScape and Diablo, both of which are old franchises. I've been playing video games since I was old enough to hold an Atari joystick in my hand yet you talk about the old days like repetitive grinding hasn't been there since gaming became popular decades ago. I can understand that you didn't like Shadow of War, all I'm saying is lootboxes don't change the core game ...
The answer isn't to not buy the game, its to not pay for lootboxes. If publishers keep putting them in its because people keep buying them. If a game is packed full of content why does it matter anyway? People made such a fuss about Shadow of War having microtransactions, and yet that game literally has over 100 hours of content. When I played it I completely forgot it even had lootboxes. If AC:Origins is the same way then will it even matter?
It's peak concurrent players the other day(before the free to play weekend) was 10....10 players. If anyone thinks that a system with half the install base of the PS4 and a fraction of the PC user base could've saved Lawbreakers they're delusional. Lawbreakers failed because its maps, characters, weapons and gameplay are just meh. I bought it at launch, played 2 days and moved on. Cliffy just needs to move on. He made a stinker. It sucks, but he'll end up damaging his studio mor...
PlayStation IS doing exactly what MS did last generation. Why is it all of a sudden bad? I had to wait for darn near every multiplayer DLC for over a month. I had to wait a year for BioShock...Sony is doing exactly what the market leader is supposed to do. The only difference is Sony has always had strong first party titles as well. MS has relied too heavily on Forza,GOW, and Halo and now gamers are getting bored with the same 3 franchises on repeat. The reason Phil says he's not a fan of...
Halo Spartan Assault also released on Xbox One. I downloaded it, and it wasn't very good.
The flood has always sucked, and 343 absolutely ruined Cortanas character. Spartan Locke was an absolute joke of a character, all because 343 got to big for their britches and thought they could write off the Chief. I do agree on The Covenant though. Also, The Fall of Reach novel is better than any Destiny lore I've read. The huge takeaway is that all the lore and world building was done long before 343 took over. All they've managed to do so far is ruin once great characters. If we&...
What about Halo:Spartan Assault and Halo Wars 2? Ascension and Ghost of Sparta are not"Main" gow games either. If you're going to name the Uncharted spinoffs like Golden Abyss(Vita) and TLL shouldn't those Halo games count? If we're talking actual numbered releases Halo has more. If you're talking games with the name attached to them there's far more Halo games than Uncharted to.And dont get me started on how 343 botched The Master Chief Collection. That game shou...
True. I have played it regularly since launch. It just keeps getting better with every new update. And the Waking Titan ARG was awesome to. Why wouldn't players wanna support devs who acknowledge their faults, and work toward turning a good solid game into a unique one of a kind masterpiece? This game should be remembered for far more than just it's faults. In my opinion anyway.
Dude have you even played the game. The update is almost as big as the initial game was at launch. It's essentially a relaunch. I have, I would guess at least 200 hours in the base game. I can see myself easily playing 200 more especially with real synchronous co op on the way. I understand people have differing tastes but why this game gets so much hate thrown at it I'll never know. Devs like Gearbox will be completely forgiven for Aliens Colonial Marines when Borderlands 3 is announ...
I didn't know that. Awesome. David Cage always has cool story concepts, but a lot of times the dialogue feels like someones reading from a very rigid script. Still, I haven't played a QD game I didn't like so with better writers on board I'm a whole lot more excited.
It's pretty easy to have an impressive show when it only lasts 25 minutes.
They showed Metroid Prime 4 as much as they showed the Pokemon RPG. How do you get hyped about a trailer with the words "Metroid Prime 4: Now in development"? Who didn't think it was in development at this point? We need to know/see more before we get to excited. The last Metroid game sucked, I know it wasn't a core title but after Star Fox the only franchises I trust is Mario and Zelda. Mario Odyssey is clearly this years game of show.
Same for me. I usually don't like talking to people online, but this games community seems more friendly and has a good sense of humor. I laughed until my face hurt watching a guy fail miserably at escaping in the car. We ended up friends and have played hours together.
I would rate it similarly. When the servers and bugs are fixed it would easily warrant a 9/10 for me personally. I haven't had this much fun with a game since Overwatch last year. Hopefully its fixed quickly and supported steadily. I could see myself coming back to it over and over again like Rocket League.
Its peer to peer connection so how could streamers have their own dedicated servers just for them? I've played at least 30 matches since launch(PS4) with minor wait times. Is the game rough around the edges? Absolutely, but a kickstarter multiplayer game built by 5 guys should be expected to have minor problems. If you really think they pocketed the money without trying their best with their limited resources you need to go watch a documentary on the making of a video game and the cost as...
I've paid more for games just as buggy, Fallout 4 and Skyrim come to mind. I'm a serious gamer, trophy level 25 and I love this game. Why does liking this game mean your friends aren't gamers? Everybody has different tastes.
How is it wanting something for free when people are spending $60 on the game? Grinding doesn't make a player better either, unlocking better equipment makes you better. I wrecked people in the beta, if I spend money to unlock equipment 20 hours before you you're not going to be better you're just going to have wasted 20 hours. EAs aim is to make sure people don't want to be left behind. It's a completely anti consumer practice. I understand lootboxes and MTs in F2P games,...
