It's amazing how the ocean in this game feels like a character all its own. Playing a slow melody while drifting in the dark with the moon lighting up the waves with a greenish hue, I mean come on... This game just oozes atmosphere. Hopefully there's a lot more to do in the full game(It is only a beta after all) but this is a must buy for me.
Hopefully the full game has a lot more to it than what I've experienced throughout the alpha and beta. I'm still buying it just as a fan of Rare, but so far my favorite thing about the game is playing music with accordions and whatever that wind up guitar is as a crew....Seriously, whoever made that design decision deserves some props.
I'm really enjoying the co-op, but I couls see it getting boring if playing alone. It's only in beta so I'll have to reserve judgement, but it doesn't feel like theres a lot of meat on the bone. Just use treasure maps to dig up treasure, take it to an outpost to sell it for better looking clothes or equipment that has no difference in stats only appearance, and rinse and repeat. They already said it won't have a traditional leveling up system so I don't know what will k...
I'm absolutely loving this beta. It's been a while since I've had this much fun with friends. Probably the best co-op since Dying Light.
Are you serious. If so I apologize for the spolier. I can't tell if you're being for real. And btw 3 disagrees come on people that story sucked.
They need to get back to what made the franchise great campaign wise. Halo 5 has amazing arena MP, but that campaign was atrocious. They didn't focus on the Chief and made Cortana a villian. WTF.
Most of the GOTY nominees of 2017 were single player titles that sold extremely well. The problem lies with publishers wanting to make fast money instead of steady money. MP titles depreciate in value pretty quickly due to the oversaturation in the market. I think it'd be harder to make a quality MP game over a single player game.
Agree 100% Foxtrot. I LOVE the original Prey. I must've played it 4 times. I didn't buy Prey for the exact reason you describe. I wanted a Prey game not a sci-fi Dishonored. I like Dishonored, but don't name your game Prey when it's cleary not. The only thing the original game has in common with the new one is the title. I'm not saying it is a bad game, but it's not a Prey game.
I agree we need to see how PUBG shapes out in Its final state before we judge. Yeah, I've been playing with control preset B since the patch, but it still feels off. I do well it just still feels cluncky but like you said its not finished so we'll just have to wait and see. I wish its controls and aiming were more like Rainbow Six Siege.
Thats what makes PUBG harder though Goldby. You don't have insta walls and tracers. So if you start getting lit up you have to search for cover, scan, and react much faster. And hope the guy shooting isn't prone with a gillie suit right behind you. Sadly, I usually try the run like a mad man zig zag pattern method only to find out I was running right toward him.
I like Fortnite better because it feels like a polished experience, but I 100% agree with you vj27. I literally drop into the Ruins every time just because I fear people far more in PUBG than in Fortnite.
BF and COD are both polished games were as PUBG isn't.I've played both on console for dozens of hours, and the only reason that PUBG is more intense is because it feels like you have to fight the game as well as other players. The horrid controls, bad aiming, and constant rubber banding keep you on edge because you hope it doesn't get you killed. Thats not good game design. Maybe if better devs made it you'd be right, but as of right now Fortnite is the better game. Fortnite i...
In all fairness to Epic though, they told those of us that paid for Early Access that it would go free to play within several months. We (me to) were to impatient to wait. People that just play it for free don't have access to Save The World mode either so we got our moneys worth. I like PUBG better as an idea, but Fortnite is well executed where PUBG feels like a proof of concept. If you could go into FPP,equip attachments, and drive vehicles in Fortnite hardly anyone would play PUBG. My...
I wasn't saying Sony France didn't make a statement; only that the statement you linked shared no correlation to this article.
Thanks
Any chance you know French, and can translate?
Sony made no statement on the blacklisting accusation though so that article is irrelevant to this story. However, I think Sony,MS,Nintendo,Bethesda or any other creator has the right to not give away free copies of their work to people they don't like though. If they want to review a Sony project they can buy it like everyone else. People are acting like Sony owns or has control over what an independent developer does though, which is quite ridiculous.
It doesn't have to be either-or, you can have both. Heck, Horizon Zero Dawn was up for numerous GOTY awards because it excelled at both storytelling and deep gameplay. If a game wants to focus on gameplay rather than story(or vice versa) that's fine, but when you make both equally as important then we expect a quality narrative.
Reason #1 You have a Switch and want Dark Souls.
The games atmosphere is absolutely incredible though. I'll be buying it for sure, but comparing this to PUBG is insane.
