700 hours. and still no fatebringer.
wow, 200 hours in and haven't done crota yet? i'll try to add you and see if I can drag you into a group some time. plenty you can kinda solo in crota's end as well...
borderlands is a much more generous and relaxing game to play with friends. but in terms of skill, it's a lot like diablo in that it's a sort of mindless and random sort of action. sure, there are some big bad guys and neat powers and perks and elementals and what not, but in the end you kind of get to a place where you just go in guns blazing and tear everything up no matter what, skill or gear be damned.
i initially thought destiny's loot and skill trees were fa...
my PSN friends list went from ~100 to nearly 400 all on the heels of destiny. and today when i look at my friend list, like 20-30% online at any given time are STILL on destiny, more than 5 months post launch. it's crazy. i thought bungie was going to make some epic space opera shooter shared world dramatic action game thing, but no they made crack. pure filthy crack for the console crowd. um. more please.
yeah, it's weird. i know far cry and dragon age are better games in a way, but the nuts and bolts of moving, aiming and firing, and the sense of varied skill that destiny makes you feel you have is pretty unparalleled in first-person games. destiny has easily tripled the amount of time i've put into FC4 and DAI combined, and those are both huge and expansive games... never would've imagined that about my 2014 playmix a year ago. i can only hope bungie will be good stewards of this...
i'm all for a matchmaking option for the raid, except I would totally not want it to be like it is with strike playlists where it FORCES matchmaking.
not sure how they would let you decide whether or not to have matchmaking, given that no other activity ever lets the player toggle it... it would be so annoying to be going with a solid team of 5 for a flawless raid and then bungie tossing some random person in mid-battle only to have the person die or cause oversoul or s...
geez, you roll with your blue heavy and expect to just cash in some coins for one of the rarest guns in the game? he's sold truth a couple of times; a very solid option. and all the vendors have a bunch of pretty good legendary ones. Plan C is a baller PVP fusion rifle. I know I'm excited to finally have a 2.0 one.
wait is this FF XIII-2-2?
i'm becoming convinced that bungie actually got hung up on the crack loop first and just never got around to filling out the story content because they were too busy 'playtesting' the same strikes and raids over and over again. most dealers were users first after all, right?
i'm just happy for the world that transistor is going to be available to them. that game and its 'lore' were among my favorites of the past few years. and it got damn hard at times as well (until i kinda got too good and almost could cheese everyone - but that's trial and error for you). love the risk reward it has in terms of taking away your equipped powers if you die. definitely had my share of bare bones scrambles to get past certain points. and of course, the soundtrack. ...
yeah, it is surprisingly hard to find it for the cheap at retail (even used) - so I jumped at it with my 10% weekend PSN coupon and have to say it is a very solid racer. it is not quite perfect in terms of nailing that 'soul' of a road racer game, but it is very very close. very much nails the arcade/sim mix that I personally enjoy. lack of tuning might seem like a turnoff, but frankly I'd rather spend my time driving and this wastes very little of your time. the challenges are so...
remote play on TVs is a bigger deal than on computers... and there's really nothing stopping Sony from creating a Windows remote play app. Heck, they could put it out on OS X first just to stick it to MS. In fact that's a huge untapped gaming audience that would probably jump at the ps4 if it was seemless with their sleek macbooks, etc.
um, i don't know. felt like spoilers. but yeah, very nice!
@Neonridr yeah, it's awesome with a team where you can trust someone else to break shields down; in those situations, it can clean up nicely. but still, a fully upgraded monte carlo or hard light is still probably a lot better at that than an AE. and the suros or vex is simply better period... in fact, i even have more success with some of my leftover rare guns. but i'll keep trying here and there. but what a pain of a bounty - to have to deal that stupid xyur after all this... sigh. ...
PC version was interesting. Totally the kind of MOBA that would work on console. Pretty legit, though niche, competitive scene apparently
@Death, looks like the good old fatebringer has not fallen on your lap yet I see. now there's a hand cannon. even at only 300, those explosions are so damn delicious...
i find AE terribly hard to use in PvP because of its low impact. i've tried a fusion to AE swap thing with some success, but still tough. i rarely break 100 in that damn bounty before seeing it come back down to earth. doesn't help that it's on my titan. very tempted to scrap it...
i actually think the future is freesync and things like that which let displays simply refresh in line with rendering. 45hz in sync with a display can look incredibly smooth. and more importantly, a display that can refresh at the variable times a frame might render in. all reports of Gsync and freesync doing that suggest this is far more powerful and impactful than simply going for higher framerates...
so glad to hear. that's nearly $1m in sales per person at that studio. way to go. well deserved
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
