What's up with the servers? They say they're shutting them down on the 28th but I was on yesterday and couldn't see any messages or ghosts.
I wanted to play it one last time before it shuts down, so I was disappointed.
GOG's catalog gets better every week and being able to download your games DRM free is a huge bonus.
But admittedly Steam's catalog is like 1,000x bigger.
GTA: San Andreas did a great job with this. You could become overweight in the game, but it impacted your stamina and ability to climb over fences.
That made it important to keep your character thin at least. Muscular was best but required you go work out at the gym on a regular basis.
It wasn't the best GTA, but it was fun to play.
Cardboard construction kits aren't all that fun once the initial novelty wears off. What they should have done was make a 3D printer that "prints" perforations into cardboard stock. They can keep releasing new toy designs and keep the fun going long-term.
Then they can make money selling:
1. Cardboard stock for their printer
2. Assembly kits with tape, string, and pulleys so they can assemble the more complex toys (staples and stapl...
I would love to see two Wii U games ported to the Switch: Mario Maker and Hyrule Warriors. Those are the only two Wii U games I'm really interested in. It would be nice to get a Switch and not miss out on anything by skipping the Wii U entirely.
But that still makes no sense! Do you expect RSI to make a game with no budget?
Is crowdfunding evil because it's wrong to ask others for financial backing? Shouldn't investors be free to choose to invest money in a startup if that's what they want?
I don't understand the gaming community. Why is it okay for some titles (like this one) to be delayed and everyone is happy to give the developer more time, but other titles like Star Citizen have the torches and pitchforks come out when they need more time?
An asshole gives Star Citizen a bad review while it's still in alpha, and the entire community of n4g comes out to troll it and shit all over it, because the general sentiment is that Robert Space Industries is ...
notachance - yes. Because that's what "alpha" means.
Are you stupid?
Atanasrikard - Head, meet ass.
Yes still with the name calling because you're still too stupid to understand what an Alpha is!
The game is years from release. Why are you shitting all over someone else's work?
Get a life, you troll!
Maybe read the other 100 comments shitting all over a game that's not even finished yet because Mr. Purchese decided to flush his journalistic integrity and give it a bad review.
No *I'm* the bad guy! Because I dare to speak out against the rampant trollism!
Yes you are being immature. So is everyone else here.
TheDriz - Uh, no. Game development has stages:
Alpha (starts with "first playable" which is the first time the game starts and has assets in it
Beta (asset complete version of the game - development shifts to mostly bug fixing at this point)
Gold Master (the first version of the game that is suitable for sale. The game is "finished")
Star Citizen is in alpha and still has many years before release. It's no where n...
It hasn't delivered squat? I've played the alpha. They've accomplished a lot in the time frame they've been given so far.
You have no clue what game development entails, especially on a game with this scope.
An unfinished game!? Robert Purchese should give it a bad review, and everyone here should surely love him for it and not buy this because we're gamers and that means we're lemmings!
You're an imbecile, and so is everyone throwing around downvotes.
An alpha isn't even a rough draft of a game. A beta is the rough draft.
An alpha is the beginnings of the foundation of the game. They haven't even finished core parts yet.
The scope of the game is far and away bigger than any other game made. Freelancer doesn't even come close, because it didn't have planetary environments. It didn't have ship int...
notachance - do you think a game of this scope is made in a year?
It could take longer than DNF to finish. It's a much bigger game.
Uh, yeah. It's an alpha. It would be many years from release due to the nature of it being an alpha.
Why are you all so stupid?
This is like if you were writing a college essay and I failed you after completing the first paragraph of your rough draft.
"as it stands as an alpha..."
"does not convince as a game..."
WTF is wrong with people these days? NO AN ALPHA WOULDN'T BE FUN TO PLAY NOW WOULD IT?
DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT AN ALPHA IS?
MORON?
VA-11 Hall-A is kind of crap, to be honest. The story could have gotten really interesting but they don't finish the interesting parts and leave a lot of questions hanging. The writer seemed to like focusing on LGBT conversations instead.
Who is the hologram that only the protagonist can see? Never answered. The hologram actually shows up right before the ending just to say "Hi!" and disappears leaving the protagonist to go "WTF?" because apparently ...
I think it's just ownership of the IP.
Sony was a publisher for Demon's Souls and it was only on Ps3. Dark Souls cut out Sony and was cross-platform.
I don't know if Sony could develop Demon's Souls 2 or if From Software would have to do it. I think From has said they want to move onto new things.
