It's called not fixing something that works fine. Everything has been rehashed in some way shape or form. Even Halo and Quake got their basic concept from an idea that has been used extensively so please don't try to knock UT3 for doing the same, be it on 360 or the PS3.

If this is what people who buy games want then leave it up to them to call the games trash. Granted you somewhat "founded" video games but that doesn't give you right to call trash what some other people would crowning achievements in gaming.
The 40GB was meant for people who didn't think that BC was that important and wanted the console for a (semi)reasonable price. Those who want BC can get the 60GB for $500. Is it fair? I don't think so but it's business and life, which last time I checked isn't fair.
How much is it going to cost and is it going to be worth buying the bundle if you can just the HDD for an extra $100?
I am a fan of whatever reduces costs because in the end it's better for us gamers by lowering the price of the things we love and it's good for the manufacturers because it helps them gain profits and continue to make games.
Like I said before:How important are online sales? Not much. Online sales only account for maybe 10% of all sales so please show me some retail numbers before posting this garbage.
Even the staunch Sony fans have to admit: Those are some crazy sales figures. The 500K for the Consoles was nice but $3.3 million in one month DAMN!!! I don't like the 360 that much(not really big on FPS's on MMORPG's) but please people give credit where credit is due. Don't throw salt because MS capitalized on their biggest asset for the system(which I have played recently and isn't nearly as bad as some people have told me).
I'm tired of all this bickering. With the PS3 price drop it's going to move consoles. The 360 will counter with a price drop and the war will continue, which I might add, is good for all of us gamers. When do Console games ever look better than PC games. Can someone point to me an instance where this has happened. I don't think it has seeing that some PC's are way more powerful than Consoles and therefore have higher capabilites.
I'm sorry. I looked around and on the website and found out that this company is only in Australia and(if wikipedia was right which I doubt) only had sales of 1.8 billion Australian $ which makes it at best a small to medium company in one country. I don't understand how big of a deal this would be to Blu-Ray and Sony since it's only 1 country, not worldwide.

Let's keep in ind that Nintendo makes at least $30 on every console sold due to the low production cost. I really don't think Nintendo cares whether the console is played or not because it has already been bought.Do the math:using the lowest profit margin $30 X 12 Million=$360 profit on the Hardware alone. Having read most of these posts and playing both Forza 2 and GT4(60% complete) I must say you people are crazy. The physics from Forza are just as good as the physics from GT(I don't think they're better but they aren't that far off). The custom paint is nice and all but the customization is what real car heads care about and both do this exceptionally. Bottom line: Forza 2 is a great sim as is GT4. They aren't that far apart so please stop saying one is extremely superior to the other. Also ...
Actually all the Skylines don't handle the same. If you've spent enough time playing the game then you would know that some feel radically different especially the older models with less power/torque.
When I first came here I said that it was only a matter of time and a price drop before Sony's base started to mobilize. It's already happening and there alot of people who are waiting for that price drop. It's great news but wait for more detailed figures before you guys get overly excited.
It's about time. I love the fact that with more casual gamers the industry grows which leads to better things. But the hardcore games need to take focus because most of us will find casual games way too easy and won't be entertained by them for long.
All valid points which is why I haven't bough my PS3 yet. Well mainly it's the price but once that drops it's 100% go!!
I just can't bring myself to buy a Wii because the games don't appeal to me and I already have emulators on my PC. The games will come just wait. I don't think it will be enough to keep up the pace of consoles sold(although when combined with that price tag it's a formula for success!!!)
