I normally ignore reviews because they are slanted to the reviewers point. But when I see so many good reviews i'm more inclined to believe the reviews. I've always liked Ratchet and Clank and this is coupled with the price drop makes me get ready to buy my PS3.
It's all about the learning curve. Of course the PS3 is going to be hard to program for. It just came out a year ago and Dev's have been working on it for maybe 2 years(Not sure when they got the final kits). Give it some time, The best games for a system don't normally come out until the 2nd or 3rd year after dev's have had more time to develop games for the system. "Experience is the best learning tool"
All of these people who spout this nonsense about violence in video games
make me sick. There is more violence on TV in 1 week than there is in most video games but they're not trying to ban violent programming. Don't censor the games. Stop people from selling the game to people under the age and most of all force the parents to do some parenting and monitor what their kids play!!!Don't ban the games though, that's an assault on the 1st amendment.
When i read the previews for this I thought it was a great idea. After playing the game I must say that this 3/10 is ridiculous and totally biased toward the game. Anything lower than a 5 should be reserved for games that very little going for them and I just don't see that in this game.
Because a game is made by a certain company that virtually giarantees it's a success? Come on man.
Damn good point!!! Unfortunately no matter hwo much this is repeated you'll still have people who would prefer to have console win as opposed to taking in all the good competition and realizing who the main beneficiary is from all of this:us GAMERS!!!!
Why am I am being disagreed with on this comment. I didn't say it was impossible but the viewpoint is slanted because he works for microsoft and he should hope and expect to sell 7 million. Please explain to me why you disagree with this. And logical answers only.
Yeah!I was looking for a price drop and a game that I can involved in and just have fun and bygod I think i've found both!!!
This guy is a product manager for the 360. What else is he supposed to feel? Is he supposed to expect this holiday season to be a disaster which will likely put his job in danger(at least a little more). That being said 7 million seems kind of high with Halo 3 already out but that alone for the holiday should sell at least another million, not including the other games they have coming out.
I'm still waiting to buy my 360(I have to get my PS3 first) and this Arcade bundle wouldn't get me off the fence because the Premium is such a better value for only $100 more which you will wind up spending on necessary attachments for the Arcade.
Also I might add that making a game long in no way makes it better. I would rather much play a high quality game for 6 hours than a game that has 6 hours of quality and 6 or more hours of filler which almost always makes the game worse.
I'm sorry but this seems overly optimistic. This goes against everything I've learned in the business courses I took. ONE maker of console= no competition=bad news. If there is no competition then where is the incentive for the console makers to keep the retail down(realize I said retail not the cost). They would have a near monopoly and everyone who wanted to play games wouldn't have any alternatives. I understand his point but I just don't think it's possible.
Unfortunately there is no such thing as loyalty in the business market especially if it stands in the way of immediate profitability. Capcom made those decisions because Sony is not the next gen console leader and they would make more money on those games if they were on all systems not just the PS3. You can't be mad at capcom for appealing to there shareholders and trying to maximize the company's profits of it's core division. If you do then you are truly blind to the way of business world....
Those who own a 360 or PS3. If the problems(if there really were any) are fixed then that great because they'll be little or no major problems with the games on either system.
Better news for us gamers.
2 things:
1- Unless I read this wrong he said it was very short. Not very specific to length.
2- How experienced was the person playing the game. 5-6 hours for him might be longer for us.
If one of my peers(my skill level) said this then I would believe it but the game hasn't even come out yet(and reviewers can be wrong).
Did anyone think this wasn't going to sell big no matter the format. When I heard it's was going to be HD-DVD exclusive I still knew it was going to sell because Transformers are loved by a lot of people(Sold over $300 million in box office receipts) regardless of which player they own.
I'm glad that a developer realizes the potential in the PS3 but the problem is the PS3 has to survive for 4 or 5 years. I think the console will survive this long but it will be hard and will definitely take it's toll on Sony(Though by then the consumer electronics division should be highly profitable).
So let me get this straight: Selling almost the same amount of consoles in the console's respective time isn't good?It has to be doing better although the numbers are identical? Right...good point.
It seems that people are getting overly exciting about 2-3 WEEKS of sales. Please let the market finish it's work before you start making asinine statements especially while throwing around the words flop.
