Wouldn't hurt to see some new gameplay (or footage in general) of FF Versus XIII. Something to get the hype moving again, because I know a good amount of people who have lost all excitement, purely because of how long it's taking.
Overall it's a good time for RPGs though, one of the best RPG lineups we've had in a loooong time (possibly best this gen).
Shadow Broker was a perfect example of DLC done right, the pacing and action sequences were spot on. Overlord was good, but I personally thought it was too broken up by the damn Hammerhead... Saying that, the Hammerhead is actually alright, it was just the fact it's so damn weak, and those turrets are so damn strong. Frustrating
From the video previews we've seen so far, it's right up there with the best looking games, on an artistic level and a technical one. Great work by CDProjekt to make it look this great
If XIII-2 is at E3, and Versus isn't, there are going to be a lot of annoyed fans.
Nothing wrong with Bioware wanting to improve the shooter element of ME3. ME2's combat was a big improvement over ME1, and there was much room for improvement in terms of the cover system/ fluidity of shooting/ movement.
Bioware have already confirmed weapons can be customised and skills will 'evolve more' - you'll be choosing between paths in skill trees much more often. Steps in the right direction, let's just hope Bioware don't lose sight of the foc...
The biggest complaint fans had about Fallout 3 was that the game had an ending. Broken Steel got rid of the ending, but then Obsidian go ahead and do the exact same thing with New Vegas? Seems ridiculous
One of the reasons I haven't been commenting on the PSN outage articles is because of the sheer amount of misinformation. There are people on N4G guilty of this too lol stick to the facts instead of spreading stupidity
As far as anyone knows, everything will be the way it was before PSN went down. You'll just have to download a new firmware and change your password :)
To many, many younger gamers CoD is definitely considered the 'cooler' of the two. The amount of young people who play nothing but CoD is staggering; it's like they don't know any other game exists.
Most of the older gamers I know much prefer Battlefield. But that's just my assumption, of course there are older gamers who prefer CoD.
A reason CoD is dubbed 'cool' is because it's infiltrated mainstream media as the game 'eve...
If this is purely a question of which is better, I'd go with Mass Effect. Although Dragon Age (especially Origins) preserves more RPG elements, Mass Effect is more realised in terms of universe and scope, and it's much more polished in almost every aspect.
@ Rifle-Man
I'd say it was as good, I can't really pick one over the other, though. Definitely worth getting if you can though, on a base level it's the same as P4, just uses a different story and characters
Reminds me of the promotions Sony did for the PSP Go. Choose a game from a list and get it for free.
Here's hoping Sony put up some good games for us to get, can't wait to see what gets offered
Seriously enough is enough. All we want is to play online on our PS3s. Not only that, but I'm sure most of us don't want to see N4G get SWAMPED by this crap all over again. For the love of god, gtfo.
I think either way, ME3 will be a very enjoyable and great game. However, tampering with a franchise on its third iteration seems a little strange. Fair enough making changes from ME1 to 2, but changing too much in ME3 is just going to divide the fanbase.
Brilliant example is Dragon Age 2. I know people who love it, say it's better than DA:O, while others just refuse to even call it a Bioware game. ME3 should be made with fans in mind first, they're the ones that made...
Yeah people seem to be forgetting about TLG, and there will most likely be games announced at E3 with a 2012 release date. Have to take a positive view lol
I agree, there are bound to be similarities with characters in RPGs, but Liara isn't really that similar to Merrill. For a start, she's much more of a strong female character
It's a kick in the teeth, but you can only play so many great games at the end of 2011. Should be a great start to 2012
Let's not forget Skyrim and Uncharted 3 are BOTH set for a November release, too. At this rate it wouldn't be mad to think at least something will be delayed.
@ fr0sty
I don't know, a few third party developers/ publishers have already issued statements that sounded like they were more or less in the dark about what had happened to PSN.
Great news as long as the side quests are good. The majority of ME2's were interesting, but there were a few that were either tedious or just uninspired.
