I totally agree. Since it comes with WKC on the same disc it's good value, but the point is this enhanced version has the new, faster battle system. I couldn't believe how slowly characters took their turns after watching some gameplay videos.
It really is a love it or hate it game though, and there are a few aspects of the game that will flat out turn people off.
Nevertheless I just started the second game, and I'm really enjoying it
I'd consider picking up a new PS3 if this was the case. Give my old 60GB model a rest after all these years
Ouch, it seems the sins of past E3's are never forgotten.
Oh, so they have. Thank you!
I'm still hoping this game comes to EU PSN... Looks like a really well done old school JRPG. Not many of them around anymore lol
Getting a bit tired of seeing Rooney's reeeeally ugly mug on the front of such good games to be honest.
People seem to think it's cool to complain about every little thing, especially this gen. We get dozens of articles on N4G day in and day out which basically amount to someone complaining about something. And usually it's making a mountain out of a molehill.
Great example earlier today when someone claimed they would cancel their pre-order of Skyrim because it'll have less menus. These people need to shut up before developers just stop listening to 'fans'...
I thought Sony had mentioned that they were looking to launch Vita in 2012 in the west? If so, it's a shame because a Christmas launch could have brought in some pretty substantial sales - especially since it's the same price as a 3DS in the US.
When Iwata announced this at E3 you could hear the excitement. But then he was quick to say it wasn't even in development, which was like being kicked in the balls.
At least we know it's coming, I suppose... Always wanted SSB on a handheld
I totally agree. People seem to love putting things into 'genres'. They put music into genres, they even put people into genres, like everything has to be categorical. How about Mass Effect = Mass Effect. You don't like Mass Effect 3? Don't buy it and shut up.
Cue the rampant 'THEY RUINED MY RPG' crowd. Let's be honest, Mass Effect was never a full blown old school Bioware RPG anyway. Why can't we just enjoy the game for what it is, instead of complaining about what your ideal would be - because frankly, that's never going to happen.
Wii U is surely the logical choice now. It just unfortunately means we have to wait that extra bit longer
Do they not just mean the MGS HD Collection? Magazines tend to get the news out much later than us here on the internet, simply because most have to wait a month to print
Like a lot of people, I have faith in Bioware that they will not screw up ME3. While the first ME was great, I still feel ME2 was the better game overall. If anything, all ME3 has to do is combine what made both games good and it should please everyone.
There will always be people complaining though, that's just how game sites work these days. That said, if Bioware did manage to somehow ruin the game, their loyal fans will find it hard to forgive them.
I seriously don't get the hate for WKC/WKCII. This gen hasn't exactly been swimming in JRPGs - WKC is one of the best out there on current consoles.
I sort of feel the same. Yakuza 4 was brilliant though... My only one real problem is that very last boss. In this day and age there is no reason to sour a game with a last boss that is THAT cheap
I think it's (almost) safe to say Skyrim should still release on 11.11.11 - mostly since Bethesda have put so much influence on the date.
And I agree, it's going to be really interesting to see how well MW3 does with BF3 coming out before it, plus the fact that other huge games release around it (namely Skyrim and Uncharted 3). Has CoD ever had to contend with that many big names?
"Final Fantasy XIII was what we call story driven, and therefore lots of people thought it was too linear"
It's quotes like that which make Square Enix seem far too naive/ egotistical to listen to what the fans actually want. All FFs have been story driven, but none have been as linear as FFXIII was.
I am glad they're trying to rectify their mistakes, but that just leads people to ask 'where the hell is Versus?'
This is all well and good, but why not just show the game properly if you wanted it done differently?
I'm not sure if it's technically the best water in a game, but my personal favourite is the pool on top of the Shangri-La hotel in Uncharted 2. No one can resist the urge to make Drake dive into that.
