LA Noire is great. Very solid game, but it's not at all perfect like some reviews made it out to be. Whether that's due to the R* logo on the box is a different matter.
Had a lot of fun with it while it lasted, but I personally wouldn't stick a 10/10 on it.
Really funny piece of writing, some of the descriptions were spot on.
Budokai 3 all the way
Even if he isn't there, some live gameplay would be a great way to show TLG off. Not sure who would be playing it, but I definitely want to see it at E3... somehow
They sound kind of like the towns in RDR: Undead Nightmare - in the way you have to go back and protect them when they're in trouble
Graphics look very nice, absolutely full of colour. Something I always thought the Tales games did right
This and inFamous from the store are going to make up most of my game time in the next few weeks. Can't wait to get into this franchise after hearing all the good things
Ah of course. Must have cost a fortune to get that ad space.
Day. One. Buy.
Jack Black needs the money.
*Awaits impending 'dumbed down - no buy' flood of comments*
It has to be great after all this time
Some of the textures remind me of Betheda's Fallout. Especially that rock. With this new engine it should end up looking considerably better though, or so we should hope lol
Good review, I agree with most of your negative points. LA Noire isn't a perfect game like some make it out to be.
In all fairness, if CDP did port this to consoles, they would probably make a gigantic profit - it would sell rather well, and it didn't have a very large budget compared to most games.
I sure hope so. Brawl was good and melee was amazing. Brawl was crippled by laggy online matches when playing against random people, but hopefully the 'Wii2' will have a much better online network
Oblivion is still a game I find myself going back to. I know that game like the back of my hand... And I'm proud.
Like people have said, LA. Noire is a great game, but something does feel off. The facial animation is brilliant, but at times it can look like the characters are mannequins with people's faces stuck on, and it breaks the illusion.
It's a solid and enjoyable game, but I think there are better GOTY contenders out there. I personally feel I'll enjoy inFamous 2, Uncharted 3, and Skyrim more. Not to mention The Witcher 2 is absolutely brilliant. It's hard to tell ...
Having a huge and fun game like inFamous on your HDD would be great - I already have this with Mass Effect 2. I can keep a disc based game in my PS3, but I can fire up ME2 from my HDD without having to get off my ass!
Before the PSN went down, I was planning on buying inFamous from the store. I was always interested in it but just never got round to buying it - and now it's being offered for free! I'll be getting this and R&C. Good stuff.
Also, nice review, everything I read about inFamous gets me more hyped to finally try the game
Absolutely stunning game. At first I was frustrated with the combat, but once you get the hang of it you feel like an absolute badass.
Thoroughly deserves a 10/10 in my opinion.
@gunnerforlife
Same here. It was my favourite fighter on PS2, I even remember doing every single one of the Red Ribbon arena fights - that took hundreds of hours.
I sort of wish they would go back to the Budokai system. I don't really care for the Tenkaichi flying/ open battlefield mechanics :/
