That caught my attention too. I saw it and thought... what did they just say? If you only associate Bethesda with Fallout then you're either really young or really missing out
Psssh like Uncharted, of all games, needs a movie version. I couldn't give a damn about any of these stories because Uncharted 2 will always be better than any movie they could possibly base on it.
Yeah this review was bias from the start, it's clear from reading it. I won't be getting the game anytime soon but this score just caught my attention by how dumb it seems. Trinity is certainly not a 1/5 game.
It begs the question of what other games would have to be 1/5 if this was the case? The answer being a lot of other games
Would hope they'd be PSN versions, even with trophies. But that's asking too much. Probably old ports playable on PS3 and PSP
Sony also published a lot of games. Of course their overall score would fluctuate more. This is just a bad way to do a comparison :/
Hmmm a bridge from ME2 to 3. That could be pretty substantial, like Dragon Age's Awakening expansion. If it's quite important to the story I don't know how people will be able to miss out, which would mean a lot of money for Bioware
That was a pretty good read, thanks for writing it.
Got to agree most with your suggestion about a broader range of equipment. Before I knew much about Mass Effect 2 I thought I would be collecting and eventually hoarding a host of new guns from things like side missions. The actual reality is pretty disappointing, and without the weapons DLC packs the selection is stupidly limited.
The only other problem I have is an aesthetic one. When wearing a helmet or a...
No spoilers at all if you've been keeping up to date with the game. It's just the first cut scene and beginning of the second.
Oh god 2 minutes. How many spoilers can you get in 2 minutes? Lol, no I'll watch it anyway. I'm too hyped
'I love pointing out the stupidly obvious' - Pachter
“We have data that shows there are a lot of people that enjoy playing RPGs although they won’t necessarily call them RPGs. They’ll play Fallout, Assassin’s Creed and even Call Of Duty, which have these progression elements – you’re putting points into things – but they don’t necessarily associate that as an RPG. So we think that if we expand that out we’ll attract a much bigger audience.”
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Although no one can deny Bioware are 'streamli...
So we're supposed to be getting Skyrim, Uncharted 3 AND Mass Effect 3 at the end of the year. I don't think I could come up with a better line up to end the year on.
Having an entire ecosystem built into the game would really make the world seem alive, whether your character is there or not. Really liking the sound of some of this
Thanks for the info Orion. But yeah I have a sinking feeling this will end up as Fallout 3 on consoles did - lots of problems that never got resolved. Freezing is definitely something to do with memory, because after visiting a good number of places and have the game load them, it soon starts to stutter and eventually freezes.
This isn't a huge problem if you blast through the games story and afterwards start a new game. But for players that want to accomplish most if not...
Yeah your characters face and hair is customisable, and it's pretty deep how much you can alter it. But your character is always human, and his/her last name is always Hawke.
"That's why, as the project director on this game, I'm very militant about us addressing the crashes and memory issues."
Is there even any word on another patch for the console versions? I finished New Vegas awhile back, and enjoyed it, but the freezing and general fear of the game flat-out crashing really ruined the experience.
Also, if they knew the problems that would ensue, couldn't they have done something about it in the first pla...
We should be getting swamped in new footage later this month just before the release. Not to mention the demo on the 22nd. Good time to be a DA fan
One of the achievements mentions fully upgrading a party members armour. Does this mean equipping different sets of armour is no longer the case? Sounds like each party member gets one set.. probably another case of 'streamlining' the game
Yeah it was a far more varied quest line and it made for some memorable moments
As much as I liked Brotherhood I think AC2 felt like a more complete game. Fair enough if this sequel is only going to be ANNOUNCED in May and come out in say... 2012. But If it gets slated for a September - December release then this is baaaad news
