Dragon Age 2 is great. Some may not like it as much as Origins, some might think it's the worst game Bioware have produced. But honestly, the way some people are bashing the game is ridiculous. It's in no way a bad game, but it has split peoples opinions... Like all games do. It's just for some insane reason, people are reacting to this spilt like the game is a failure
Ah good to know, thanks for the info. I did check out Of the End, had alot of fun. The shooting is quite easy but it's satisfying. I can't wait to play as Akiyama in Yakuza 4 after seeing how cool he is in OtE demo
After playing the demo was I right in thinking the running animations have been improved? In Yakuza 3 Kazuma always looked a bit static when you changed direction, or when you went from walking to running. Lol, that's the kind of complaint a few websites would knock a whole 1 off their score with...
I hope Yakuza 4 gets some good reviews, more people need to be aware of this game/ series, because the demo didn't do the whole game justice at all.
I honestly think DA2 isn't half as bad as some people are making it out to be. It's still a better game than the majority of crap that gets released each month.
That said, maybe people had higher expectations for a Bioware game. But what the hell, I'm enjoying it.
Seriously I have no idea why Homefront was being hyped. It looked bland and generic from day one. FPS genre is getting really old really fast
Urban setting! This will be amazing. I want to see Drake and Sully in a stylish bar.
Well, Kazuma is always very well shaven. He must have some pro tips he can share.
Nah you're basically right. The story was sort of forced on players and wasn't very deep in scope or plot. It was almost like Square tried far too hard to make you care about these characters and what they were doing - but that just made a lot of people dislike them even more
Pokemon does not need to change. If they keep adding tons of new features, I can't really complain. The Pokemon fever kicked off once again as soon as I loaded up the game.
Not to mention the frankly RIDICULOUS amount of connectivity Black/White features. It's pretty staggering how much you can do with friends or even people over the internet
Yeah you're all right about that, camera takes some getting used to at first. But like Nitrowolf mentioned, holding R1 to focus the camera nearer to the player is the way to go for most encounters. Plus changing the camera settings to normal instead of inverted helped me alot (depends what you're used to though).
All in all I thought the demo was great, lots of big shootouts and the indoor sections had a feel of the original Resident Evil games about them (narrow spac...
Yeah each character can equip any 2 weapons and switch between at will : )
The musou attacks are improved beyond all expectations. Now they actually show you the personality of a character rather than just being a super-combo of moves you can already do.
Yesssss Yakuza 4 is the good stuff. I hope Yakuza 4 does well in the west, this series clearly deserves more praise than it gets.
Dragon Age on the 11th followed by Yakuza 4 on the 18th (EU dates). Two huuuge games, it's going to be hard to find time for anything else
Vanquish was one of the best single player action games last year I thought. It's pretty short but it's hard to find that really good balance of great pacing and super style
I look back at my PS2 collection and 80% of it consists of JRPGs ranging from FFX to Persona 3 and 4 to Rogue Galaxy to Digital Devil Saga. If only this gen provided the same amount of Japanese goodness.
That said, the WRPGs this gen have been great and aplenty. However, there will always be a spot only a great JRPG can fill.
Guess they never heard the Medic is getting rather buffed in the latest patch, since they tend to mention it as a negative in multi-player.
Thank god the medic's revive is being buffed. With tiny respawn times and terrible range on the revive gun, almost made things pointless... More people should be playing as medic now
There is no way around it. As much as a lot of people won't like or want to admit it, Killzone 3 has performed quite poorly, even if it's a great game.
A game of Killzone 3's calibre and product quality should by all means sell better than it has done... There's not much more to say on the subject unfortunately :/
And like you said, the PS3 user base is much bigger now - it underperformed by quite a bit.
