Just look at Uncharted 2 multiplayer. Because it was only 5 v 5 it allowed for more tactical and thoughtout gameplay. 16 seems like a good number, especially if the maps aren't too small or too huge.
16 players and apparently deep customization and progression. Objective based gameplay... Drop in player numbers (especially since R2) but this should be great
Wooo for logic. So damn sick of people who never played Origins/ did play Origins (but evidently not properly) that say DA2 is hack and slash... Lol, right.
Considering how good Battlefield 3 looked in the announcement trailer, and considering the fact it will only get better... I think you could compare it with any CoD yet to come this generation, and Battlefield 3 will still win this argument, hands down.
That was a spin-off mobile Shenmue game that's already been released in Japan, I'm sad to say
Remember all the other Shenmue 3 rumours that spawned from nothing but very slight comments from the original developers? Yeah; and it hasn't happened yet.
As much as I'd like to see Shenmue 3, please don't let the hype train get out of control for this lol
Knowing Japan it would probably boost initial sales immensely... It's bound to happen lol
PSP software still holding strong despite the launch of the 3DS... That's a rather good sign for the NGP in Japan
Brilliant, better grab this as soon as it pops up. The Yakuza 4 Japanese demo got taken off pretty fast
Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, Dragon Age 2, Yakuza 4, LA Noire, The Witcher 2, Dynasty Warriors 7, Pokemon Black & White... So... So many games...
And I can't see GTAV being released in 2011. Even if it's GTA, releasing it late in the year alongside Skyrim, ME2 and UC3 is counter productive. Reveal somewhere near E3 and released Early 2012 would be reasonable.
Good score for DW7, one of the highest (or THE highest) scores a DW game has ever received from Famitsu
Fair enough if the sequel turns out to be a great game. It's when series starts getting milked that it becomes a liability.
This is great news, don't think anyone saw this coming.
No doubt some people will be disappointed though, but this is what happens when people hype the hell out of something that hasn't even been announced.
Wow that's cool I guess. But no doubt some people will be disappointed, as always
Now this... this is what puts Yakuza 4 ahead of Yakuza 3. While Yakuza 3 was still amazing even with content being cut for the west, hostess clubs add a whole new dynamic. Tired of smashing goons heads off walls? Go chat up 3 women at once in a slutty bar. Only 17 days to go!
The Deadly Assassin outfit was great, I had it equipped for almost the entire game... But this is hilariously late lol
Good article, brings up some good points about AI in todays games. I think difficulty ties in with AI on a basic level - difficulty should really mean how intelligent the AI is (hard mode = much better AI) rather than handicapping the player as 90% of games do.
Exactly, great post. I really don't understand how people are calling this game a hack and slash title. The combat is essentially DA:O with different, smoother animations for standard attacks
You're completely right, of course DA2 is an RPG. I have no idea where people are getting the idea that the game is hack and slash. So you press X to attack? You can do a combo of 4 attacks by mashing X? It must be a hack and slash, then... Ffs..
Good to know, thanks for the info (knew it was this week but no idea when).
I'm really hoping Yakuza of the End makes it to the west, it looks like a brilliant mix of classic Yakuza and... well, zombies. Amazing that a developer could make this game look like it actually works extremely well
