Well...the movies were made backwards, so the "future" films were made with old tech and effects, and the "past" films were made with CGI and awesome effects.
It's really strange that Lucas didn't try hard to make things look older and more simple than episodes 4,5 and 6. Because now that he made it look all awesome and shiny and tech-y, it kind feels ass-backwards.

Everything about this game screams quality. Animation is superb, lighting looks great, effects are awesome, textures and models are real nice, sound is of course top notch.
This really makes me want to forget Call of Duty ever existed.

What bothered me about DICE's sound in previous games is how "spacey" it sounded. I could be 15 feet away from a barrel that explodes and it sound like a muffled pop-boom. I've heard things explode relatively close to me and it's way more intense than that.
Every single game I play, I always start on the lowest difficulty, and then beat the game on every subsequent difficulty level.
Typical flat and shiny ID software look. Those textures are nothing special, at least on consoles. And even on PC, I'm still having dejavu. I can't help but feel like I'm looking at Quake IV or Doom 3 with a high-res texture mod.
Sucks for ID, it seems they just can't escape that familiar sci-fi feeling that all their games convey.
Does this mean we'll have iPhone games that render 3D game worlds with objects and characters that have ACTUAL SHADOWS INSTEAD OF BLOB SHADOWS OR NO SHADOWS AT ALL?!
