Starhawk reminds me much more of Red Faction: Guerrilla than Halo.
Resistance: Fall of Man was better than Halo.
Insomniac's been kicking that franchise in the nuts ever since though, changing everything mostly for the worse.
(I'm talking multiplayer-wise mainly, but also applies to the campaign.)
Wasn't my point, but ok. I was talking about the site. If their analysis is that it's set in 2025, I'm saying they're way off.
Ellen (and Keats) from Folklore fits perfectly.
Yorda doesn't make much sense at all; smash pretty much nailed it, good points.
"The game will be happening in 2025"
No way we have all those robots and shi by 2025; more like 2055.
Good point on them not impressing with a current gen Golden Axe and couldn't expect much from a new Streets of Rage.
I might be describing something too similar to Hitman or Max Payne anyway. Just trying to think of a way Streets of Rage would work without just being a side scroller.
I'd rather see Sega make a current/next generation Streets of Rage.
I'm thinking along the lines of a Grand Theft Auto type game, except you're the cops busting up crimes and criminals instead of the one committing them. Police chases, raids, etc. No investigations like LA Noire, just catching/busting people and kicking the crap out of them on your way to finding the crime boss.
I thought Bayonetta sucked. Too over-stylized.
I think Platinum Games as a whole sucks for the same reason. All or most of their games seem to be that way and now they're ruining the good name of Metal Gear with Rising: Revengence.
Maybe a giant enemy crab. :)
Resistance 2/3. Not bad games on their own, just changed way too much and mostly for the negative.
Agreed with BioShock 2. Same as above, not a bad game, just not in the same league as the original. That lady got damn annoying. I hated listening to her talking the entire game.
Disagreed with MW2. From what I remember, the campaign was similar to CoD4 and Spec Ops were plenty playable. If it had a short campaign and you paid $60, ok, be disappointed. Be patien...
Prediction:
8000 degrees based on pervy pic.
Actually deserves:
Negative 2000 degrees based on gameplay.
You guys are BSing yourselves. Nothing looks good about that box, it's just cut and pasted random scenes. At least you could make that argument for the Resistance Trilogy (even though it's likely also a half-assed patchwork of a collection inside with no additional content)
Wow it has a pretty box (which it doesn't). Too bad it's butt ugly yellow Platinum Hits inside.

2011 was very split. Skyrim may have gotten the most, but Portal 2, Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City, and Zelda: Skyward Sword were named GotY also.
Either way, this isn't like Borderlands GotY when they only had 1-2 out of around 200+ publications name them GotY.
Mostly good..
I think just #s 17-20 are kinda lame IMO and don't really scream PlayStation to me.
Abe is one of the most famous characters from PS1. Fart, burp, throw rocks, mind control.
Ellen and Keats fit perfectly in the way they already fight in Folklore. I think that would be among the biggest disappointments if they weren't in. They have too much potential.
ATLAS and P-body from Portal 2. Not likely, but throwing that one out th...
Hopefully I'm wrong, but this is very likely going to be half-assed as hell with no R:FoM trophies, not have all the DLC on the disks, and will very likely be the ugly yellow Platinum Hits versions.
This is what the Trilogy should be and deserves to be:
Resistance: Fall of Man - [Trophy support - All DLC (map packs, etc.) - All bonus content (Cloven skin, etc.)]
Resistance 2 - 'Reflection' box art (from Collector's and Europea...
Pretty sure you don't need to physically play a crappy game to see its crappy gameplay and dumb Dynasty Warriors-like 'stand near you making absolutely no attempt to attack you' AI.

This game is so crappy. If anyone's considering buying this, remember, if this is what you're buying the game for, you're on a place called The Internet.. a place where cheerleader upskirts are a dime a dozen (or actually free for thousands / millions). Don't waste your ~$60.
Code name, fine.
Release.. PS4.
Also, agreed with 2pacalyosenow. They should shoot for all games to be 1080p 120fps, so they can have every game in 1080p 3D 60fps if that's how that works. Let it be able to run some future 4k2k PSN games though if they think 4k2k tvs will be out before 5-8 years.
So then: Nothing good* has $20 credit anymore
Idk about it being "AAA" yet, but it's on my list of games to be on the lookout for.
I like the sand effects and the setting in Dubai, but I hope it's not just a gimmick slapped onto a mediocre shooter like Fracture is or Inversion seems to be (at least from what I've seen so far).

Inversion comes out June 5th and Spec Op...
