The RFoM weapons were balanced besides LAARK/40s/new Arcs/Old Shotgun/Tags... besides those, the game had fantastic balance.
Realism, OK.. but balance when you have the Wraith in there? A 1sec kill weapon, with a giant shield (that unlike RFoM, stops grenades), and spawns with a glitchy, overpowered hedgehog? There goes the 'balance' part of the arguement.
I liked the original F.E.A.R. 2 demo (there were 2 demos) better than the Killzone 2 demo. I never played the full game though and just picked up Killzone 2 recently, so can't comment on the full games. Obviously KZ2 had better graphics, but the first F.E.A.R. 2 demo had the ghosts, the locker doors slamming, let you drive the mech thing.. it had more variety. The KZ2 demo was short with no variety.

The EVO is badass, but touchscreen only isn't too good for emulators. It's decent for some games, like turn based or games with somewhat simple controls.
