Computers don't cost hundreds and don't take up physical space?
Added Killstreak Rewards (highly overpowered and easy to get)
Added Perks
Added Prestiging (another example of copying instead of leading and sticking to their original formula)
Added post-death auto-seeking free bonus kills (Leapers aka CoD dogs) and it wasn't even a Killstreak Reward
Added weapon upgrades for an uneven playing field and noobier weapons like highlighted heads for the sniper as an example
Kept Invisibility in Competitive multiplayer...
Wrong.
Fixed the mistakes and didn't follow CoD with 3? Idk what fantasy world you're living in.
Yet back in reality they:
Added Killstreak Rewards (highly overpowered and easy to get).
Added Perks
Added Prestiging
Added post-death auto-seeking bonuses (Leapers aka CoD dogs)
Added weapon upgrades for an uneven playing field

Removed R2 style co-op

This article reminded me to look up some game sales. Picked up God of War: Origins Collection [<$20] and MGS:HD Collection [<$30], among others.
Killzone needs a full remake, not an HD remaster.
The repetitive enemy death screams are annoying, some parts are very repetitive, feels like you're doing the same part 3-5 times in a row. AI not that good, etc. HD's not going to do much for it. Needs a full remake with the Killzone 2+ or PS4 engine.
With all the time I put into Resistance: Fall of Man, it justified the purchase alone and was available Day 1.
Also, what Makin said. A standalone Blu-ray player alone at the time was ~$1000. And waiting 3 long years to save $300 isn't too great of an argument.
@Estranged
You seem like the type that gets hyped over anything (like everyone who thought Brink was going to be amazing). From what I've seen of Dust 514 so far, it reminds me of a Haze 2. Not saying that's a bad thing (I still own Haze), just that it doesn't look like we're talking Killzone, Resistance, Uncharted level here.
@ABiz
It's still a respectable list if you're interested in all of those. For me, of the 3 pages, you can fill a page with J games, so that's out of the picture, then you can fill another 1-1 1/2 pages with kinda kiddie games. That only leaves a few what I'll call core games, of which we aren't even sure will actually release in 2012.
If they all do release and they announce at least one more 'core' game like Agent or MGS5 (Highly unlikely ...
Agreed with your top 3. I'd probably switch Uncharted 3 and Arkham City though personally.
1. Portal 2
2. Uncharted 3
3. Batman: Arkham City
IMO. BTW, try deleting and reinstalling your GAME DATA. I had to do that with Uncharted 3 when he refused to make a jump in the rusty shipyard. Another tip would be to always double save, alternate saves just in case. I've learned this the hard way a couple times.. in The Orange Box (luckily it do...
Portal 2 is damn good. Well deserved GotY.
Obviously cases can be made for others like Uncharted 3, or Batman: Arkham City, Skyrim, etc.
I think the hate on Portal 2 getting GotY awards is so ridiculous that it's funny and I smile when I see it. Portal 2 is a beast.
How can you disagree with jthamind saying that it is a "good choice"? It's a 95/95/95 meta. What's not a good choice about it?
So far 2012 looks 'relatively' weak compared to other years.. and that's with The Last Guardian, which we're only assuming will be 2012.
There's a lot of J games I have 0 interest in. I don't know why people scream Ni No Kuni from the rooftops. It looks like a game for 7 year olds. All cartoonish and J-like.
Out of the ones listed I'm only interested in The Last Guardian and The Last Of Us. May pick up Starhawk and Twisted Metal ev...

Obviously a bunch of retards who can't read:
"released for Xbox and Xbox next"
So again, why would Halo 4 release on Xbox? They stopped supporting it ~6 years ago. This site and/or contributor screwed up their wording was my point. They refer to Xbox as the current console, they refer to Xbox as the original console, they refer to Xbox 360, new Xbox, Xbox next, current Xbox, etc.
They're inconsis...
Personally I wish they'd get rid of their handheld. I'd much rather have Golden Abyss, Burning Skies, etc. bigger and better on the home console.
Luckily it sorta worked out with the PSP.. with GoW: Origins and Peace Walker. Still missed out on Retribution (if it was made like a regular Resistance game for PS3) and others though and those games could have been better if built specifically for the higher spec home consoles.
Why would it release on "Xbox"? They stopped supporting it like 6 years ago.
More non-news / obvious speculation made it to the front page.
Yeay for non-News making it all the way to #3 on the front page!
Here's what you need to know about this bit of 'news':
"Do you folks have any guesses?
Game Informer’s next cover reveal will be shared on January 5."
New Game Informer magazine, no info about it, just some random speculation. News is that there will be news in 4 days. Wow.
Since when did he own the word?
What's so Platinum about Yellow?
Seriously some ugly greatest hits versions in EU/Asia.
Or 3 of the top 7 if you're any good at math and personal research.
