Not correct. LCD TV's don't work that way. It is actually just the opposite. As a general rule darker images (that includes black) actually use more energy on a LCD then lighter images and definitely more than white. On LCD TV's there is backlight that is always on and energy is used to activate the darker pixels to just block out that always on backlight. Doing causes more energy to be used then if we just let the backlight show through or use lower energy to display lighter co...
It is just a GT Sports related bundle. Sony tweeting "geared up" is the only clue you need know that this reveal is dealing with that longed delayed exclusive. Maybe even a PS4/Pro + PSVR bundle. That image in the front definitely has the shape of the PSVR headset.
@frostypants Wrong. People would have the right to be pissed if they announced a PS4 Pro 2 or even a PS5 so soon after the Pro. Sure, there will always be somebody who just bought a PS4 Pro just before a new console version comes out. But, three years after the Pro was released would quite a different thing then a year later.
Not going to happen anyway. By all realistic needs of a console (shrinking the tech and pricing) any PS5 released now (in the upcoming year) would...
Your right not even close to true because most PC's (somewhere around 93% of all gamers on Steam) can't do 4K at all. Not without a big upgrade. And of the ones that can do 4K reasonably well (with a NVidia 1080 only about 50% are using a monitor able to handle a resolution of 4K or above on what a 27" monitor with no HDR). Most PC gamers (by an overwhelming margin) are still stuck playing games at 1080p at medium settings (even those PC Anywhere games most can't run them...
Why would a Xbox 2 have to be released in 2019? Just because a PS5 came out in 2019? This (PS4,X1) was the first generation that had their releases synced. There is no steadfast rule that because A releases it in year X that the competitor has to do it as well. In fact, not releasing the next Xbox until a year later than PS5 keeps things much more interesting. As for the PS5 release time, knowing the planned tech arriving in the coming two years, 2020 seems like a more beneficial time fo...
@modelgod I think both price drops are not going to happen in any permanent form. I don't think dropping the price of the higher model but not the other will work. Leaving PS4 price ($299) but dropping drop the Pro $50 (to $349) that only puts them at $50 apart. (And that is the 500GB base model vs 1TB Pro) The margins on the Pro are razor already thin. I don't think dropping the Pro will slow down the sales of X the season. $100 or $150 it won't change those interested in ...
Doubt it. Sony took a big hit in profits from the Entertainment division, down 50% year to year relative from the time they lowered the price of the current PS4 to $299. According to their own quarterly they mentioned this loss was do to less profit on hardware even though the sold more devices then the previous year. And also noted software and services was not able to make up the difference in the loss they took from sales of the console. Insurance had to make up the profits this time ar...
Please. Sony has just been caught filling the BS trough all this time. Up until last year Sony was saying "we should cross play". Everyone said look at Sony always being the good guy, they want cross-play at least that his how the PS4 fanboys frame it. And then Microsoft warmed up to it and said we "we are open to it" and finally "lets do it". But, all of a sudden Sony ran away from that narrative of supporting it. Let's be real Sony never wanted cross-pl...
"Sweet zombie Jesus there's a lot of dumbasses here." Yes and their troll names are link2Dpast and corroios. You just said your friends live an breathe plasma TV. Are you friends interested in the XBOX? If not I don't see what your friends having a plasma have anything to do with what some here are doing. I know people who still have TV's with tubes. So? I mean come on your point makes no sense. People already explained their possible reason for getting the X and n...
@niko04 typical response. You say something without evidence and tell everybody else to go do the work. No you have to do it. You point, you need to present your evidence.
And by the way it is easy to pick on your SJW the crybaby attitude is evident everywhere. Just take my word for it. If you want proof I will just tell you to go do the work yourself. I hear that is the way the SJW likes. Say something without proof than tell everyone questioning your statement it i...
No, it doesn't look good. It is mostly filler crap. Listen there are some nice little features. Emphasis on little. Nothing anybody was really clamoring in large numbers for. This update, as it stands now, is not deserving of a full numeral update.
If memory serves me that is why Horizon was released in Feb of this year. Otherwise Sony would have released it late 2016 as they originally announced. After spending so much time on a game if it takes a few more months to get some things better tuned then might as well do it. Delaying a game sucks though. Hopefully they do what they need to do.
@yeahright2 "costing sales" I don't see how. If anybody says that they won't buy because they now have to pre-order the XBOX 2 months out instead of 3 or 4 months was never really serious about to buying this device in the first place.
You realize you are pretty much implying the opposite with that statement? According to you some people can deny. I think you meant to say (unless you are being sardonic) was "no one can deny."
