For Marvel games yes. The roles seemed to get reversed in games. DC characters games are usually pretty good (e.g. Batman and Injustice, even the Telltale DC Batman games are good). Whereas, unlike the movies Marvel dominates, their characters in recent games never seem to be well done. Hopefully, the hype of this trailer will translate into a great game. Because it is Insomniac I personally have great faith it will avoid the Marvel curse of crappy games.
Are you going to keep cut and pasting that comment?
So when that time comes and the PS5 (which I assume you will be a blind cheerleader for) has to do checkerboard or can't reach full 4K on an occasion or two or three or four, etc..., will that device not be a true 4K console as well? Developers will push any device, this gen or next and always hit brick walls and then perhaps use tricks like checker boarding. The same thing will happen with the PS5 or Xbox X2. Just ...
@The_Infected No. Let's say you send me a gift of Wolfenstein II. However, let's also say I already have that game in my catalog. Regifting is what a recipient can do with that gift code now (before you actually use it). There are two options:
One, as the recipient I can opt to regift Wolfenstein II to somebody else.
Two, as the recipient of Wolftenstein II, I can also request Microsoft just refund the purchase value back to your account ...
1. Every time I see this I laugh. $500 is not much sorry, it is just isn't. Most people pay that in a few months of their cell phone bills. Heck my cable bill is $120 a month. As for relativism. The number one complaint with most consoles has been the CPU is weak or the GPU is behind the times. Well sorry, but that will not change unless gamers are willing to pay a little more to get a lot more in return at the time a console is released. The $500 price tag on X by any imaginable met...
But, yet after every one those articles and developers and others stating how impressive it is (only a 1080 shows it a worthy opponent graphically) they still seem to come here and say I have a PC (with a $700+ graphic card) is an answer. Apparently for some reason they are part of the less than 2% of gamers on Steam that can actually outdo the X (having a NVidia 1080 and a 4K+ monitor). It is amazing how every gamer seems to be that little majority. I doubt that is true. Several have been ca...
@Freedomland "have the best of both worlds". Wrong! Buying both base consoles only allows you to only be part of both worlds. Actually buying, the X and/or Pro is currently the only way you can actually have the best of either world.
I get it now. PC gamers love to spend thousands on gaming rigs so they then can spend hours trying figure out why a game keeps crashing, lagging, stuttering, freezing, etc... They don't care about actually playing games. No, they like the puzzle of figuring out why it isn't working in the first place. They are the masters of RegEdit Kungfu. My hats off to the Master Race. I get it now. It's about the journey of getting a game working. It is the joy of accomplishment of hours and...
Spending $800 on graphics card to outdo the XBOX doesn't mean squat if you can't play the PC game without lagging, stuttering, freezing and crashing. #consolesforthewin
Once again PSNow makes that argument of PS4 exclusives moot. Can't have it both ways. If PC gamers can use PSNow with first party PS4 games on their Windows computers the same logic of lack of exclusives applies to PS4 as well. With the arrival PS4 first party consoles games on PSNow they now just timed exclusives. So, in truth there are no exclusives. Games like Uncharted 4 or HZD will soon be playable on Windows. Sony has no choice to make those games available via PSNow, either that ...
@Shineon You may have been sarcastic the problem is that it is not out of the realm (by a long shot) of what a PS4 fanboy regularly says. It is canny how you can think like them. With rampant PS4 fan base here you are best to tag sarcasm with "/s" or you will be treated like those gaggled masses.
@DarkZane In two years time you will not get 12 TFLOPS and definitely not at $400. Sorry, not going to happen so you can put your little fantasy to rest. Obviously you read too many fanboy fan fiction sites. What is the basis of this GPU that is 12 TFLOPS that you think will be down to $140. That $140 is the price of both the CPU and GPU (the APU) that must be in order for the mythical 12 TFLOP machine be $400. Seriously VEGA is just on the market and their individual price just for just...
@Vasto Not really Sony and Nintendo trade places of their market cap. One week Sony is up over Nintendo. The next week it is Nintendo over Sony. Of course Microsoft dwarves them at 12.5 times their market size. What is surprising is Nintendo is essentially gaming only and is valued the same as all of Sony. While Sony has a vast array of other businesses (some profitable, others not so much, and others continuously in the red). This is one of the reasons large investors keep pushing Sony to ...
Nah... that be a Sony or Nintendo move. Only those two would charge for the privilege of paying to play something you bought last generation or earlier. Sony with PSNow and Nintendo with all those retro grade mini consoles. Microsoft just gives BC to you for free. No reason to scam you for paying for something again like a retro console. Sony knows how easy it is to skim money out their console owners. PS4 fanboys are just too dense to see it.
@Skillz1215 Another dumbass who thinks that every PC is 4K capable. Sure I will give you currently (according to Steams own numbers) less than 2% of PC gamers have both a NVidia 1080 and a 4K** or greater monitor. So, yes those people will have a better game experiences (well in most cases, even though time and time again PC games have a tendency to lead to a lesser functioning game compared to stable experience of all consoles). Anyhow, that leaves the rest of the PC gamers. 98% of gamers wi...
@XStation4pio_Pro "It’s been modified a bit from oculus but mostly for adaptation purposes."
Not it is not the same game at all. It is not a port of the Oculus game or a reconfigured a little bit of the VR version. It is the same universe with some of the same characters but otherwise it is completely different game. It is new experience built from the ground up. It is new levels, new Lucky moves, new characters, everything is new. It is a sequel. The only thin...
It got exposure, not a ton of marketing. MDHR relied on getting the word out through word of mouth and access. Paid marketing and secondary exposure are two different things. The later is free and requires those third parities to see value. Stories about the game were abundant and gamers gravitated towards it because of its' unique look, sound and old style game play. Not because there was this large marketing campaign by MDHR.
What innovators? You act like Microsoft hasn't been an innovator in VR. They have been part of VR before Palmer Lucky could speak his first words. They have many patents related to VR in their portfolio. And have been developing science in this area for several decades. "Bandwagon" that just shows your lack of understanding who Microsoft is in all this VR talk. Microsoft is just avoiding the clutter that VR is now on consoles. Releasing a VR solution for the XBX to only end ...
