@thekhurg Hardcore gamers. What does that mean? I think you mean gamers that play like crap because they worry more about tuning their hardware than actually playing a game.
And no the Vega 64 is not some cheap card you slap in a mid-range. It is only slightly less impressive then a NVidia1080 on several capabilities can even surpass the 1080 Ti on some specs and capabilities. For example, the Vega is 12.6TFLOPS, faster memory bus, and 4096 shading units, higher textu...
Really? And what excuse is it for Sony who tells you to stream everything. Streaming crappy 4K content is not cheap data wise (streaming 25GB for a two hour movie is a lot) but, that was their answer to not having a 4KUHD drive. As pointed out this is not a MS issue it is a 4K. It is not like a lot of these assets will magically shrink when a PS5 comes out. In fact expect it to be a greater issue as the digital content will represent more than 70% of all sales as opposed to 50% as it doe...
Are you could look at this way. As I assume that new system you are alluding to is the PS5 (as the X2 is 3 to 4 years away) And it being only a couple of years it will have to deal with the same issues. Even more so as digital will represent an even greater amount of software sales (expected to be more than 70% by end of the decade). These larger data storage and data transfer issues will become much greater issue with more people becoming digital purchasers in two years than we have now w...
Actually Mojang didn't ask for more money because Notch just wanted to get away from the giant game it had become and hated the responsibility. It all came to end with people bitching on the internet when they changed the EULA. Even though Peerson wasn't really any longer involved with Minecraft and EULA became actually more lenient it just made him hate the whole responsibility. He then actually Tweeted something like "Give me $2 billion and I will sell it all". Someone, ...
I don't know what AM General's game play in all this is but, there is plenty of precedence for allowance of content like this in media (books, film, games, etc..) without permission. Any copyright issues definitely should get pass easily on fair use contingency anyways. Is there something I am missing? Does the game go out it's way to say something unfairly negative about Humvee's or something patently untrue? If so, that would be a completely different type of lawsuit.
@G20WLY No they aren't on PC That is like saying Xbox One when you mean Xbox One X. The best possible is on PC's that have a NVidia 1080, not the PC. That is if the game isn't crashing or waiting for the PC's inevitable barrage of patches, reg and system hacks, and NVidia driver updates to get it all working well enough. Yes, then that niche of NVidia 1080 owners can claim the best version. Meanwhile the other 98% of PC gaming rigs can watch and cheer from the sidelines.
Really I seem to remember a lot of Sony apologist last year when PS4 Pro arrived and various reports of system failures started popping up the first few days. Yes, like here people (on the opposite side) made it seem like it was bigger issue and proof of something like you and others are doing here. PS4 Pro had that "blue light of death" issue. It was stuttering, drive issues and networking and system failure. The other popular one was fan issue with several reports of fans failing...
Except you remember the brand don't you. I bet if it was random unknown actor you might remember the commercial but not the brand or type of car. But, they hooked you in, plain and simple. And that is all they care about. They just repeat it in billboards, magazines and online and your brain will continue to associate Lincoln, consciously and just as important unconsciously.
@Elda Sorry, you definitely need glasses. I have several people here at work looking at it right now (most own a PS4) and not one used minor differences to describe the comparison. We all agree the differences are easily visible. Some cases very striking and obvious. Other times not as drastic but, clearly evident the X has cleaner graphical fidelty. But, not once did anyone ever here say anything like "minor" for the comparison.
@GNCFLYER "making a point of the hypocrisy the past few years. "
You do realize the hypocrisy works both ways here. Strange how PS4 gamers are now taking a completely different view as well. But, accepting that argument would defeat your narrative of solely an Xbox fan issue.
You mean NVidia 1080 GPU not PC. Have you noticed when talking about the consoles we clarify what is being talking about (Xbox X or Pro not a broad Xbox or PS4 because that would false) but, for some reason PC gamers us this broad term that includes every PC, most which can barely keep up with the base consoles. So I think maybe PC gamers should be honest with your actual statements as well. I would hate for you to be misconstrued as actually believing most ga...
You get it. Phew... I thought I was the only one. The same problem is going to arise at $399 price point as happened with the release of this generation. The console will be based on components that are at best middle of the road in power. The PS4 APU will have to be around $130 (like it currently is for the Pro). Exceeding that price drives up the console price. So with $399 you will get an average performing (for that time) GPU and CPU in the APU.
Not to nitpick. But, if the narrative I always hear is PS4 has double the current Xbox One count. Then wouldn't domineering mean they should have at least the double the purchases of Ubisoft games during this and other sales. But looking at the data their percentage instead of doubling Xbox sales numbers the PS4 generally sale numbers are around 55% more, not the double (100% greater) it should be reflective of console population size. Domineering and the expectation should mean at the v...
The issue is people like you lying. You and others know exactly what Microsoft said and have been corrected at every point (with links to actual quotes) about that. But, nooooo..... you keep saying the same old false argument which is a lie on your part, period. One good thing though from all this, I am sure your salty tears will be enough sustenance for you today. .·´¯`(>▂< )´¯`·.
Well unlike times before Xbox is not under anybody else's control. No longer are others whose motives don't always align with Xbox and easily can change even if was he once was promised X but suddenly find X not an option. It is all Spencer now in his new role as VP. He decides what those Xs are now. Spencer has only one person to report to now, Nadella the CEO. There is no VP or other department heads above him which would decide on multiple levels what to do. Before he had to ...
@Nodoze You are seeing the last of them. Not paying your employees for months and closing several studios just means Crytek has been a dead man walking for quite some time. They know it but, put on a face that seems to be arrogant or foolish. They think they have leverage to negotiate terms when a lot of their talent has moved on to other companies. Crytek is shell of what it once was. Which to be truthful Crytek wasn't as great as we all think it once was - rose-colored glasses and all...
This is one of those games I always find myself playing on my gaming rig. I don't know why these type single player games seem to be what I like to use my rig for. The rest of my game play usually almost goes exclusively on consoles. I do the same thing with Bioshock series and play it on my rigs. That and solitaire :) As for the game itself, I have been enjoying it quite a bit in 4K on my PC. But look forward to my X and playing Assassin's Creed, both recent Forza's, may...
I don't see Xbox fanboys or MS itself talking about specs. I do see a lot of PS fanboys talking about 4TB drives and 16 GB HBM memory, Ryzen threadripper 8 core and 10-12TFLOPS, with the occasional spattering of 2TB SSD drives injected into the design. Seriously, talk about a console that would exceed $500 by a lot. Those are a CPU and GPU that currently run currently $400+ each. People all expect to make it into APU in 2 years and at that $120 price point necessary to make that sweet...
