The developers obviously have been studying for finals for the last few years and are too tired to do any real work.. This game has been in the Steam Early Access program since 2015 (3-year beta). Knowing what I know now about the company I hardly call Subaeria a new game, After looking at the game trailer even 720p on the Xbox base unit tells me that they have no idea what they are doing. Nothing special about the game graphic wise. Case in point Orii (a game built by a very small developme...
@Eonjay KickSpinFilter Until you put GOW up against a game running true 4K without using tricks to fidelity or softening the fidelity overall it is not a comparison to the X. Saying it looks great without comparing it to what GOW would look like by upping the anty to better fidelity and true 4K is a disingenuous statement. If they brought out a PS5 version will that 4K make it a difference or will you still say that Pro version is just as good? Will suddenly many of you arguing you can...
PSNow once supported many different non-console devices (like smart TVs, disc players, PSVita) and the PS3. Unfortunately, Sony did not want to cut into the sales of the PS4 so they removed the service from running those other devices. That is the only real explanation (other than their BS PR reasons) There is no technological reason that streaming service would not be able to run on those same devices still today. They kept around the Windows PC but really is anyone going on a PC going to pa...
@Masterchi ef_thegoat The cost is nothing compared to the expense for the simplest of devices people with disabilities pay to normalize their world. The cost is actually quite a good deal. And most important of all spending $100 on a device that brings a smile to your child's face that was not possible before is priceless. And last time I checked priceless trumps $100
An UNANNOUNCED game gets delayed, whats the big deal? Sony officially announces games at E3 that won't be out for two or more years after the announcement (e.g. Spider-Man announced 2016 rel 2018, Death Standing announced 2016 release 2019?, Days Gone announced 2016 release 2019 after a delay). What is the big deal about delaying a game a year, a game that hasn't even been officially announced by 2K? Even if it was, say Borderlands 3, (still not an announced game) no date was given ...
@UCForce Outdated feature? Can you give me a good recent co-op example where you can go off on your own when you are part of a co-op? I can't think of any game that allows you to do that. And most games that call themselves coop aren't really co-op but more of mashing fighting games like COD, Battlefield, Gears where co-op is about your skill for brief moments in a limited environment and not about supporting and developing with the group for the long haul. If anything most co-op...
@Araagifeel
PSNow is a waste. And that excuse of it being for those wanting to try PS2, PS3 or PS4 is bull brought to you buy the Sony marketing department. PSNow is a shell of what it was designed for. And that design was to have any game (doesn't matter what generation PS, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, etc...) available on low-end, non-console hardware (smart TV, tablets, disc players, etc...). The minute Sony dropped that hardware support (for no technical reason) was the day that ser...
@Apocalypse Shadow What? The first three years of my PS4 console were littered with reboots, reskins, redos of games from the PS3 and yet people bought them up. Other than few games that were reimagined and good most were just putting a slightly prettier look on the same game and slapping a $60 price tag on it. To me, it was/is a scam (up there with all the money grab from so many MTs in my book.) Calling BC not important but at the same time expecting the PS5 to have it makes no sense. It ...
First, a console in 2019 will not be Navi. Sorry AMD isn't even releasing production samples for OEMs until later this year. Which means you won't see $500+ based discrete cards until early Spring 2019. There is no way AMD is going to be ready with an APU based on Navi with the power/heating requirements and at most importantly at a price point of a console within a year of its release. Actually, I take that back it won't be a year it will have to be ready less than 6 months afte...
It is Sammy, not Sami. As for the Sega, both Sammy and Sega are run independently by a holding company called Sega Sammy Holdings with executives from both companies running the board of the holding company. The overall company primarily makes most of its money not off Sega software games by actually off of pachinko, and other casino-style machines along with a series of arcades.
Why? With the PS5 rumored with an 11TFLOPS GPU you are going to spend well over twice the price of what a possible PS5 console will cost just on a single PC graphics card that still only tops out at 11.3TFLOPS. I get it if you are PC gamer only. But, if you have a vested interest in the PS line why not just wait and let those 1080Ti prices come down a few hundred (down from $1000+ to maybe $600) and in doing so see how the rumors start to play out for the PS5 later in the year.
E3 is the World Cup (or Superbowl for my American compadres) of gaming conferences. Yes, they need it. Every company has plenty of conferences to go to each year but, the coverage of those conferences is not even in the same ballpark globally as E3 is. Foolish to think you don't need E3. That is the type of thinking that backfires.
>> What's with E3 continually being Microsoft's... = "Writers got write". Bills to pay. Rinse repeat. Get the ...
They have a marketing deal for RD2 not a timed exclusive for the game. God, having that as timed exclusive for that game would gobble up a lot of Sony's expenditures for the year. Marketing deals are quite a different animal then paying to make a game a timed exclusive to a particular console. A marketing deal is no different than what Microsoft is doing with Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Splinter Cell, Battlefield V, and Anthem.
What did you see coming? The same process as all other similar subscription services: rotating content. Content costs money whether it is used or not they have a base rate to pay to license a game. If it is not used at a specific amount it makes no sense to keep it around. There is a budget to follow. If you have X dollars to spend on licensing you have to remove some content to add newer content. And sometimes the distributor decides not renew the license. Just curious, did you see it comi...
@Optimius. Movies aren't Netflix bread and butter. Tell me what happens when Netflix removes 5 seasons of a show. Which is not uncommon. Is that really two hours or is that possibly over a hundred hours for an hour-long show of programming they remove. That is a lot more time than most people put in any single game. I should know I was in the middle of Archer. When all 7 seasons were removed from Netflix. If I want to watch the 4 seasons I have remaining I will have to buy them. Whi...
@indyman77 When all those Disney movies are removed from Netflix it is because of they worthless, right? Of course, that must be the reason. Or when Amazon Prime removes Doctor Who and Luther it was because they were worthless? Obviously, nobody wanted to watch those shows. Perhaps like all streaming services the same applies here as well. Some games may not have been used as much so looking at the data Microsoft decided not to pay the license fee for them and removes them. Sure there is fil...
Not that it doesn't happen but, most of those more serious cases you mention have been taking seriously over the years. No, the problem most cases you hear about now are not stalking, violence or coercion but, the uncomfortable joke or he asked me out once at a party and the overreaction by the accuser. It has come to the point of a bad date is now a point of harassment for the #metoo movement. That is what happens as the pendulum swings farther and farther as more and more people pile...
Answer who? Why do we have the right to know what is going on? How is our life affected? This we must know crap is the most annoying thing about all this. The answer is we don't need to know, it is not our right to know. They don't need to come out with statements or answer questions. As long as Naughty Dog took the correct actions then the public has no right to anything. If there is a systemic problem that is when the public (well the media doing its job) should ask for answers....
