I readily admitted in my comment that the Xbox does very poorly (I don't know much more than stating as Xbox being non-existent as I did) and I don't think that will change anywhere in positive for them in Asia in the next-gen traditional console space as well. Or did you skip over that part? The point was the PS4 and any traditional console Sony releases next-gen will not be a winning strategy in the Asian region as well. Nowhere did I go on about...
That is OK the next-gen isn't going to all roses for Sony traditional console in Japan either. Sony is down quite a bit this gen in Japan compared to the previous gen and definitely not up in numbers compared to how they are doing everywhere else. Japan is pretty much gone mobile. Unless you can put it a backpack and play wheatver mobile device experience on train then you are not going to be selling a lot of traditional consoles there next-gen no matter who you are. So, Xbox next-gen ...
I was going to say the same thing. The submitter (Nyxus) must have added his/her own image becuase the actual story doesn't have a Spider-Man image anyhwere in the post (usually the image is just grabbed from the site automatically when submitting). A N4G admin should have caught this and made sure it was fixed before it was allowed to be published. It still should be fixed.
S has an MSRP of $299. Just because you can buy the S on sale at $249 does mean this all-digital has the same MSRP of the S as you are perpetuating. I suspect MS decided that it would be easier to have this on sales (like that S is at $249) at $199 rather than to have an MSRP of $199 and not have regular deals. I can see ads that say "save $50 on sale- $199 with 3 games" and "$249" crossed out during the holidays.
I highly doubt it. The defining factor with the PS4 Pro and PS5 (similarly like the Xbox One X and Xbox nex-gen) will be the increase in the CPU power. The CPU will be a dramatic jump this next-gen. Both the Pro and the X are very limited by their CPUs which are really not much more powerful than their weaker base consoles CPU's. Sure the graphics on both mid-gens are much better but CPUs not so much. And scaling graphics is relatively easy compared to games working around CPU requiremen...
Saying 8K output is like saying the Xbox One S is 4K capable. Not really a big thing, especially with any new device (PS or Xbox), will be fully HDMI 2.1. Theoretically, any system that fully supports HDMI 2.1 should be able to support 10K and 120fps as an output. Of course, the GPU won't have the power to truly render all those pixels in an 8k environment but, more than likely the PS5, like the Xbox model S with 4K, will just upscale that 4K to 8K. In fact, the Xbox One. the model X w...
"With Stadia and xCloud adopting this always online method"
As opposed to Sony's always online, PSNow, that has been around 5 years now? Or are you just ignoring that fact for some misplaced argument against Microsoft? The only gaming ecosystem that is online only is Stadia. Other then Microsoft plans to support XCloud game streaming on as many devices they can it is just an option for gamers just like PSNow has been for many years. In fact, I suspect PSNow (...
Too bad about Olli but, glad to see they are adding several great replacements among them Monster Hunter World, Prey and Resident Evil 5 HD (good co-op game).
Yeah I can't see adding a head strap to a carboard structure working out well in the long run. Wear and tear over a short time is going show you why things are not built with cardboard for the long haul. Doing so would just leave Nintendo liable for all those times that it fails and the Switch falls to the ground and breaks. By forcing people to hold it up to their head alleviates much of that and puts the the fault squarely on the user.
Here is the irony of this story about accessibility for gaming with disabilities is the website (cogconnected.com) is not very accessible to that same group. Under WCAG 2.0 this story has 22 known issues and 203 potentials issues for those accessing it with disabilities.
That is not a monopoly either. No more than Spider-Man being on the PS4 only or the variety official deals that both Fifa or the NFL make with vendors for merchandising (e.g. official jerseys, mugs, etc...) or TV deals. etc... It is a deal between two companies that like it or not EA has made and the NFL, Fifa,etc.. and each have agreed to.
Frist Apple does not have streaming. It has a downloadable gaming subscription with Apple Arcade. So, you might want to learn more about what Apple is planning. Plus it is locked into the Apple ecosystem and purely based on using iOS gaming development and will be emuated to play on MacOS.
As for streaming, I am sorry but Sony is the one out of the three (MS, Google, Sony) that is actually behind the eight ball. I wouldn't count Amazon until they actually have someth...
What facts? Not single fact @isarai statements, pure opinion?
How have they done well enough? We know nothing about their numbers (they don't release them for PSNow - hide them in their quarterly's). For all we know operating expenses exceeds revenue. I am sure Sony would come out and tell us the exact numbers if they were kings of the world in streaming but, they haven't.
They don't own the data centers that PSNow are currently using (us...

"Uncharted 4. GOW (2018)"
I don't know what quality has to do with anything because those games you noted are not is on PSNow. They have first-party PS4 games but the few that are on the service are form the start of this gen, not anything released earlier than 4 years ago. So, yeah Bloodborne from March 2015 (over 4 years ago). Definitely, not the other two. And that is a big issue, at least for me with PSNow. Sony has some great first-party games for...
PSN:
PSN generated revenue, not profit. PSN did not make more profit than Xbox division. Please go back and look at both yearly reports from both companies. And please try to understand what revenue is. It tells you nothing more than money coming in. A company could have had $12 billion coming as revenue but had to pay out in expenses $13 billion leading to $1 billion loss. Do you think Amazon with a revenue of $232 billion dollars last year actually had a ...
Are you going to boycott Steam too? I don't see Halo: MCC coming to Epic or Gog just Steam? Or is it only bad when deals are made with Epic not when Steam is doing it?
MS is not publishing the game. Private Division, part of TakeTwo, is in charge of this move. TakeTwo is that company that all the PS fanboys were so giddy about when Sony was supposedly buying them. Obsidian (Microsoft) is just honoring their contractual agreement that existed before being bought by Microsoft.
Plus because you may have the game already on another Xbox one elsewhere in your house you can install the game using the local network without having ever having to use your internet connection (of course you could also use an external drive to move it over as well). Options!
What? You do realize a physical disc installs the full game on the drive you have on your machine right now. How does digital make the need for a larger disc size any more important? Seems like you are moving goal posts. Shouldn't you be complaining about the drive size in general for all consoles not because it is digital only?
